Blurb:  From North Pole City to Winter Wonderland, preparations are underway after a royal announcement sweeps everyone into a frenzy of festivity. At the heart of the celebration are the city’s most beloved elf pilots, the Rein Dears. Once the Big Flight is behind them, the pilots prepare for the royal event. Assigned a special task of finding an Elska rose, Cupid and Blitzen are unaware of how their friendship is about to change forever.

Yet not all that glitters is gold. The sweet, angelic Cupid hides a dark secret, one that threatens to destroy his Rein Dear status, his friends, and the elf who’s captured his heart. It’s up to Blitzen to help Cupid see the light in the darkness and show him that together they can mend broken hearts.

Review: As a wife, mom, co-worker, daughter, aunt, etcetera, Christmas tends to be about me doing things for the other people in my life. And as much as I love crafting and baking and gifting, I also find it to be the season where I occasionally need to give myself a little something inspiring and fun to keep me in the holiday cheer. For the past few years, Charlie Cochet’s North Pole City Tales has been one of those little somethings.

Just knowing Loving Blitz, the fourth book in the holiday series, was about to be released put me in the spirit! Cochet has created such a whimsical world on one hand. I adore catch phrases like “Holy Holly” and “Plum pudding”. I love that the characters drink hot cocoa, both mint and cinnamon, and wear classic elf attire with a bit of Regency flair. Everything about North Pole city is fun, Christmasy and bright.

Well, maybe not everything. These stories are definitely sweet but they also have a little spicy side. There’s always a well-thought out plot. In Loving Blitz, Blitz and Cupid, longtime best friends, are sent on a mission. There’s danger and intrigue and snow-melting romance. I really enjoyed that Cupid and Blitz went from such good friends to lovers, and I loved seeing glimpses of our favorite couples from past books.

I’ll end this review with a little bit of holiday advice. When the 12 pains of Christmas are getting you down, find a copy of Charlie Cochet’s Loving Blitz and bring a little joy to your world.

Overall Impression: I loved it

*I received a copy of this book from the publisher in return for a fair and honest review.*
