Blurb: Gareth’s heart is set on Cam, but Cam’s heart broke a long time ago.

As alpha of the Regent’s Park Pack, Cam’s focus is always centred on its members—his personal life pushed aside after the death of his wife. Now that his pack has merged with the Primrose Hill shifters, he can’t afford any distractions.

Gareth’s been in love with his alpha for years, but his position as beta complicates matters. Added to the fact Cam still mourns his late wife, Gareth knows his feelings will never be reciprocated, so he buries them deep.

With the two packs already struggling to unite under one alpha, they get a surprise addition—one who causes more tension within the ranks. Under such strain, long-kept secrets are forced into the open. Gareth and Cam must deal with the aftermath, while also keeping the pack’s best interests at heart.

Review: I’ve loved Cam and Gareth from the start, so I think it was only natural that they end this series, together. Is it the end? I think so, but I am not positive. Anyway, Gareth has been harboring feelings for his alpha for ten years….ten years that Cam had locked away his heart after the death of his wife, Mia. Now, I know many don’t like females in their MM stories, and I’d even read a couple reviews where they said Mia and Rachel, a Beta temporarily stationed at the Regent’s Pack, had too much face time, but I just didn’t read it that way. Rachel, in all that she resembled Cam’s deceased wife, was the catalyst that forced Gareth to reveals his feelings for Cam…and who was instrumental in getting Cam to try his hand at love again. I found both were integral to the story and wouldn’t change a thing.

I love the bonding scent and mental connection that allows mates to feel each other’s emotions. How awesome would that be to not have to answer the question, “what’s wrong?” from your spouse and just let your natural link answer for you? I think that would be convenient, and maybe a little intrusive. And Cam and Gareth used that link for all sorts of goodness, mainly the sexy kind. Now, this is not all mine-mine-mine and present-your-ass-to-me, as Cam doesn’t instantly allow himself to walk down the road to possible heartache, again. His rejection was based on fear of losing Gareth, not that he didn’t want him…even though that did kind of surprise him, too. We are also dealing with the fallout from the joined packs after the P-Pack alpha was sent to prison. There is a lot more on that front, as expected, but I will let you read it for yourself. I kind of sensed that the prison scene would go badly, and for a second, I was genuinely concerned with how Cam would get out of that pickle.

But, never fear. In addition to Cam and Gareth finding each other, and being accepted as a mated pair in the pack, this is also a story where the good guys do finish first and the bad guys get their just desserts. If this is the last book in the series, than I think it ended on a high note and I easily recommend this book, but caution that you must read the series in order.

Overall Impression: I really liked it!

*I received a copy of this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review.*
