Blurb: Now that David’s heading towards his mid-30s, he’s finally realised that it’s time to find a husband. But with so many men and so little time, he realises he’s going to have to be strategic if he’s ever to find his soulmate.
Thus, 52 First Dates is formed; a challenge, a scheme, to go on a date with a new man, every week, for a year. If it pays off, he’ll be in marital bliss. If it doesn’t, he’ll know that he’s fated with being the eternal bachelor. With everything to live for, David plunges into the world of dating in search of the perfect man.
Review:
This is a great start to a fun series about a guy who decides it is time to settle down. He comes up with a plan to accomplish this, complete with a full set of rules and guidelines to follow – 52 first dates. He believes that by having the first dates, it will give him the best opportunity to find his soulmate, and, if nothing else, he will have a year of meeting sexy men. So, one first date every week for a year, all in the hopes of finding Mr. Right.
David tells this tale which I found quite enjoyable. He has a really great sense of humor and I found his storytelling very entertaining, especially the way he lets his feelings be known. He’s a big sweetheart looking for love but finding it difficult to stick to the plan of sticking to first dates only. He has the added issue of coming up with all of these dates. He has a current F-buddy in Rick, who is in an open relationship with his man. The sex scenes were wonderfully hot and steamy. But the plan must go on. David teaches us about the London scene and the ways of the hookup apps which was definitely interesting.
I finished this in one sitting and was ready to jump right into the next one, eager to see David succeed in his quest for love and a husband.
Overall Impression: I really liked it

Blurb: With David in his mid-30’s, it’s time to get serious about finding a husband. Too many men and not enough time, mean he’s embarked on the challenge of a lifetime; to date a new man every week for a year until he finds THE ONE.
With one date out the way, and many more to come, David’s realising there’s a reason it’s so hard to find a soulmate. And, with friends, lovers and lust getting in the way, finding a husband might be harder than he thought.
Review:
The manhunt is underway in this second installment of the big Plan. David is so funny as he goes through the apps searching for Mr. Right. The first date is hilarious, and it is fun to watch David realize there is more to finding a mate than what can be learned a profile. If nothing else, David is open to making friends if the guys turn out to not be the one.
This is a very enjoyable quickie. David is still hooking up with Rick as he continues his search, so he’s still having some hot sex. Here, we get a bigger glimpse into his life as he spends time with friends and deals with other issues. We are still left wondering which guy could be the lucky winner, and I enjoyed this segment just as much as the first. Off to book 3!
Overall Impression: I really liked it

Blurb: The man-hunt is under way, and David’s keen to a snag a husband without having to complete every date of his 52 First Dates challenge. With several successful meets behind him, there’s a growing feeling of confidence that his search could actually work. But now that the novelty’s worn off, finding the motivation to keep going is about to become harder.
David finds himself trying to juggle meeting new men and providing a shoulder to cry on his to battered and pregnant friends. And, with a plethora of hotties vying for his attention, things are about to get more complicated.
Review:
By now, you should have read the first two books where you will get the story behind the challenge David has set for himself. The hunt is continuing, but David is now hoping he won’t have to make it to the end of the challenge. He is having dates, but has been finding it difficult to juggle everything in his life with the dating.
He is still seeing Rav, as he cannot deny their chemistry, even as he realizes Rav isn’t the One. There is no lack of hot sexy action here, as David has become quite popular. There are dates galore, both good and bad, hot hookups and even some sexy twins, all of which have David seeing double. I love how much we really get to know David. He shares his friends and their issues with us and they really add something to this story. Even though he is dealing with his own issues, David is always there for his friends.
These are all written in first person which worked so well here. These stories are very well written and pull you right in. They are probably more fun to read back to back, but either way, I’m hooked. I can’t wait to see how this plays out and it David’s Plan is successful. I want him to find his man, so I sure hope that’s the case. I highly recommend this fun series.
Overall Impression: I really liked it
