Blurb: The war is on…
Counted among the fiercest Andarion warriors ever born, Hauk is one of the five founding members of the Sentella- an organization that has declared war on the League that rules the Ichidian universe with an iron fist and terrifies it with an army of well-trained assassins. Hauk’s enemies are legion, but he fears nothing and no one. He will do whatever it takes to survive and protect his Sentella brethren.
Sumi Antaxas is one of the best assassins the League has ever trained. In her world, failure is not an option and she has never met a target she couldn’t execute. So when she’s assigned Hauk, she believes it’ll be a quick and easy mission.
But nothing is ever as simple as it seems, and Hauk is far better trained and skilled than his dossier shows. More than that, as she pursues him, she stumbles upon the key that will bring down not only Hauk, but the entire Sentella organization.
In the race to report her information, she is overtaken by enemies out to end her as effectively as she intends to end Hauk. Now her only key to survival is the one man she’s been sent to kill. And Hauk doesn’t trust her at all.
The only question is, will he help her to live… or send her to her grave.

Review:
Another great addition to The League world. Dancer finally gets his HEA!
Born of Fury picks up a few months after Born of Silence and Cloak and Silence.
I’ve noticed that the blurb is very vague so I’m going to give a very brief synopsis of the plot:
In true Andarion custom, in order to become an adult, one must complete an Endurance: six weeks of roughing it on the hostile planet of Oksana with a close adult male relative. Dancer’s Endurance was a disaster and now he is taking Darice, his 14 year old nephew on the journey. Kyr Zemin, the League’s prime commander, sends his assassin Sumi Ataxas to gather intel on Dancer and bring him into League custody. But things don’t go quite as planned…
The Romance: There was plenty of good sexual tension between Dancer and Sumi; I loved them as a couple together even though they got a little sappy there in the end. I always love a good forbidden lovers story and here there were many reason why they couldn’t be together. Of course they eventually both gave in and decided to face the consequences later…even though those consequences would be death. Their I-can’t-be-with-you drama didn’t last for long.
The Andarion Customs: I think all the Andarion aspects were my favorite parts of the book: from the importance of lineage to their vanity to stralen males. I thought the pledging and unification process was unique to this story, even though I hated what Dariana and Dancer’s family were doing to him.
The Action: There were some good fight scenes, but not as many as I had hoped for. Sumi was a League assassin and one badass female, and Dancer was a giant War Hauk that smashed anything that got in his way. The Sentella guys were there, but only for about half the book. Gotta love ‘em.
The Story Telling: There were tooooooo many stories being told! Especially stories about Dancer and his past with his family and the other members of the Sentella. I mean, I liked knowing his history and hearing about the other characters when they were younger. But when there was practically a “time out” in the middle of a fight scene and even in the middle of a sex scene to tell some kind of story…that’s just TOO MUCH!! And really made the book drag on forever.
The Children: There was too much happening with all the kids. All the characters from previous books and their children showed up in the second half and more stories were being told. It was cute at first but it really slowed down the pace of the book…where it should have felt urgent.
What’s next? Looks like it will be Fain’s story. From how the blurb reads and the tiny hints that were dropped in this book, I can’t wait to read it. Also, I’m dying for Bastien to get a book.
Overall Impression: I Liked It
