Blurb:  Justin loves Daniel Madsen but Daniel wants nothing more to do with him than use him as a booty call. Daniel is always the one with control of whatever form of relationship they have. But when Justin finds out a dark secret about Daniel’s life, Daniel might have to give up control and see what Justin’s all about.

Review: I’d like to say you never quite know what you’re going to get when you open a new Kol book, but that wouldn’t be entirely true. There are a few certainties, not the least of which is a deliciously twisted, head spinning tale. Beyond that, I was not real sure what I’d get with this latest offering.

The story is told by Justin, a somewhat down on his luck guy who has it bad for Daniel, the guy who basically uses him for a quickie here and there, when it’s good for him. But Justin has other plans, plans to “woo” Daniel, force him to take notice that there is more that Justin is able to offer him. Even after Justin witnesses Daniel’s other activities, he is not deterred, but only more committed to being with Daniel.

The two carry on in a somewhat Thelma & Louise manner as the story progresses. There is actually a bit of romance, it is about a psycho serial killer and his sidekick, after all. They stick by each other’s side through thick and thin and right to the very end. Circumstances prevent these two from riding off into the proverbial sunset, but I absolutely loved how the ending wrapped up.

This quick read will have you on the edge of your seat and even perhaps rooting for the bad guy in the end. The epilogue was fantastic and was the icing on the cake of this creepy little tale. It’s short, but more than worth the $.99 price tag, and I definitely recommend it if you think it might be your kind of story.

Overall Impression:  I loved it!

*I received a copy of this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review.*
