Blurb: When Tanner moves to Chicago for a new job, he experiences his First Shift, a revelation that signifies he’s met his mate since the last full moon. The only problem? He doesn’t know who it is. To find his mate, he enlists his new assistant Jon to arrange a series of dates, but each one turns out more disastrous than the last.
With the next full moon quickly approaching, Tanner finally determines the identity of his true mate. Unfortunately, Jon has since disappeared, and Tanner must now begin a new search. Is it really Jon’s family crisis pulling him away, or is Jon just not that into him?

Review:
When Tanner takes a new job in Chicago, his first day of work leads to him just knowing he’s finally found his mate… unfortunately, he has no idea WHO his mate could be. But when he shifts on the full moon, he only has a month to figure out who the person is. Tanner’s determined to find his mate but his efforts to date the men at work prove futile… until he goes on a spontaneous date with his assistant and realizes the man he’s been looking for has been right in front of him. But as soon as Tanner realizes Jon is his mate, Jon disappears and Tanner’s left trying to find his mate once again.
This was an ADORABLE story. I loved that the author put a unique spin on it and made it so the wolves didn’t shift until they met their mates. It was interesting to see the different dynamics of the story and how while Tanner was an alpha, he didn’t have any of the ‘feral’ characteristics associated with the title. As for Jon, I loved that he was so geeky, he made things fun and cute and I loved his addiction to candy bars. I just really wished we could have seen Jon interacting with Tanner’s family.
I enjoyed this one but I had a few issues. For one, I thought that there were a lot of inconsistencies such as the fact “you didn’t know your mate was near until you touched”… except Tanner knew he had a mate nearby when he walked into his new office building and ‘smelled’ him on the air. Aside from that, there was too much sex for my tastes and got a tad repetitive throughout the story.
Overall Impression: I liked it!
*I received a copy of this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review.*
