Blurb: When Elliot Knapp took a business trip over the holidays last year, he didn’t expect to run into the professor his first serious boyfriend cheated on him with. The man was handsome, certainly, but Elliot has better things to do than deal with drama from a decade ago.
Luckily for him, Howard Wise wasn’t going to let him get away without an explanation. A year after meeting again, the couple is making their first holiday trip to celebrate Christmas. Everything is fantastic, but Howard is obviously keeping secrets, and Elliot can’t help but wonder what his silver fox has up his sleeve.

Review:
Elliot’s had ten years to get over the fact his college boyfriend cheated on his with his professor so when that professor is on the same train as Elliot on a business trip, he has no intentions of giving Howard the time of day, even if there’s still a bit of attraction between them. Except, Elliot does let Howard explain what really happened, which sparks the start of a relationship that’s about to change his entire life.
I’ll admit when I started this one, I wasn’t sure if I’d like it because of the whole ‘ex-boyfriend cheated on me with his professor’ situation and since the professor was the love interest, I was totally prepared to hate him…. but then I read the cheating explanation and I couldn’t really hate him. I actually really loved Howard and Elliot as a couple. Although, I wish the story hadn’t been so rushed towards the end because I’d have loved to see more of Elliot and Howard together after their reunion but before the one year anniversary.
All in all, an adorable Christmas story. I loved seeing Howard try to explain to Elliot what really happened and where they went from there. I’ve been saying this with every Christmas story I’ve read lately but I really hope this isn’t the last we see of these two!!
Overall Impression: I really liked it!
