So, I bet y’all are very curious for the results of the poll, huh? We had a total of 95 votes and the winner was:

Widdershins by Jordan L. Hawk!

Widdershins beat Demons Not Included, Healer and Coming to Terms by a mile (or 51 votes). Quite amazing!

Now that we have that out of the way, we’ll explain just why we had the poll. One of the events we are doing on The Blogger Girls is our own personal challenge. What that means is once a month, one of us will pick a book for the other three, something that they’ll like but have been putting off for weeks or months or maybe even years. Unfortunately, that only gives three of us a challenge book.

That’s where everyone that voted came in. The four of us picked a book for the poll and y’all voted which book of those four would be the challenge book for this month’s challenge picker. January is Nikyta’s month so she’s picked a book for Heather, Jen and Susan and y’all picked Widdershins for Nikyta. Are we making sense? LOL.

So, we are calling this week ‘Challenge Week’ (clever, eh?) and just so you have an idea of what books Nikyta has picked for everyone and what will be reviewed during Challenge Week, here’s the breakdown:

Heather C had to read The Morning Star by M. Chandler
JustJen had to read The Nothingness of Ben by Brad Boney
Susan65 had to read Moon Called by Patricia Briggs
Nikyta had to read Widdershins by Jordan L. Hawk (voter’s choice)

Since the four of us have been friends for years now, we’ve been ragging on each other to read certain books. These four books are just a small number of novels we’ve deemed ‘must reads’ and since Nikyta is the first picker, she’s gonna have loads of fun saying ‘I told you so’ when everyone is finished reading their books and loves them (hehe). Granted, Heather will get that opportunity too when Nikyta is finished with her pick since Widdershins was her suggestion for the poll 😛
