Blurb: About the last thing Vincent Wade expected was for Carson Cress to ask him out. Vince is a dedicated biology student and a bit of a loner. Superstar quarterback Carson is larger than life, and he lives under a public microscope. There’s no way they should work. But Vince is learning that sometimes people just come steamrolling into your life and all you can do is hang on for the ride or lose your heart in the process. If their relationship can survive the fallout when an injury derails Carson’s future plans, maybe Vince can finally find something to believe in.

Review:

Aww…This was SWEET!!

Vincent Wade is an overworked college student living in a closet sized apartment he was stuck paying rent for after his best friend bailed on him.  Then one night at work, he meets a cocky football player trying to get him to bend the company rules.  Of course, Vince refuses and sends the hunky athlete to another store.  Turns out, the hunky guy with the glasses was none other than Carson Cress, the famous college quarterback and future NFL draft pick.  Crap!  Vince is totally screwed now that he’s pissed off such an influential person; he may even lose his job if Carson complains to his boss!  Then Carson corners him in a sporting goods dressing room and…umm, I’m not gonna tell!!!

This was really sweet, I loved the sexual tension going on between Vince and Carson.  I love enemies to lovers and of course I love out-for-you tropes and this just hit the spot perfectly.  I even stayed up all night on a work night to finish it.  Yeah, its a short one but I started at bedtime and was hooked from the beginning.

There’s a tiny, small amount of angst, but doesn’t last for long at all.  It’s pretty easy to figure out what is going to happen.  I do think their commitment to each happened a bit fast…after only spending one night together and all??  Hmm.  So yeah, this was a bit insta-love-ish but totally a great comfort read when you need something sweet and easy.

Overall Impression: I Really Liked It!

*I purchased my own, personal copy of this book for review.*
