Review:
This story begins with Prescott (Pres), a handsome and successful chef, engaged and seemingly having happy with life. That is, until things take a major turn when Pres is blinded in an automobile accident. After a period of depression and miserableness, he learns to live again as a blind man. With the help of his family, he finds that with his other senses heightened; he can overcome his disability to become even more successful in his profession than ever before. Unfortunately, his fiancé doesn’t feel the same. After her leaving, and a few other uncaring relationships, including his current leach of a girlfriend, Pres is lonely and longing for attention and affection.
He meets his neighbor, Rickson (Ric), in the elevator, and they have an immediate attraction. They take things rather slowly though, but there is no hiding the feelings are there. Pres seems quite up in the air about his sexuality, and though he experimented with his roommate in college, he considered himself straight up to this point. They eventually take things further, and things are going well, right up until Pres pulls some idiotic stunt that sends Ric packing. There was quite a bit about this situation and resulting split that I wasn’t happy about, but it leads to the introduction of Blair, which I was highly anticipating.
About halfway into this story, Pres, after trying unsuccessfully to even get Ric to let him apologize, feeling completely lonely and deserted, calls an escort service and ends up meeting Blair, a young man finishing up chef school. Blair has been following Pres’ career and is a huge fan. They end up keeping each other company and getting to know each other. Blair is a sexy Texan who genuinely seems interested in Pres, although he realizes from the get go that Pres and Ric are still in love with each other. Regardless, Pres and Blair continue with their relationship, but they realize that there is something missing and that they want and need Ric to make their relationship whole.
Ric and Pres go through some issues working out their apologies, etc., and Ric takes quite a bit of persuading to give Pres and Blair a chance. Everything comes together when something happens that changes everything for Pres. There are some really hot scenes with these guys, each as couples and as their threesome. A lot of things happen throughout this story, but when they are all together and working toward the same goal, it is beautiful and sexy. The guys get a bit dominant and growly, and Blair plays a perfect sub. None of this goes much beyond a little rough play and lots of smexy dirty talking so don’t let that scare you off. It’s hot stuff.
I am a definite fan of Ms. Via. I find the writing style quite enjoyable and easy to read, yet not so easy to put down. While I had a few niggling issues with this story, namely some of the actions/reactions of the characters and the heavy use of endearments, I really liked this smexy threesome that was definitely a bit different than the every-day ménage. I’d love to see these guys again, but regardless, I’m looking forward to whatever else Ms. Via has in store for us.
Overall Impression: I really liked it
