Blurb: Thane Major’s lover, Ian Philips, sees Majors’ Folly—the mansion Thane has inherited—as a ‘monstrosity’. Thane believes otherwise. To him it is fascinating, not monstrous. At least that’s what he hopes.

After the two learn of several disappearances from the Folly, they spot someone trying to break in and wonder if the person is responsible for the Folly’s troubles. Deciding they must find out exactly what is happening, the pair begin to delve into the house’s history to uncover the truth before they too disappear.

Will the arrival of two strange males offering their help to Thane and Ian lead to revelations about the disappearances… or to Thane and Ian’s untimely deaths?

blogger_bee_transReview:

Thane and Ian want to get away from Hollywood and find some place where they can find peace.  What better place than Major’s Folly, an aged mansion left to Thane.  As Thane and Ian spend time at Major’s Folly, they begin to notice strange things happening – foot prints in the snow, seeing someone leering in the window, and so on.  They begin to hear of stories from locals in town about disappearances and how no one has been seen again once they enter the house over the years.  All of this spurs our main characters into solving the mystery!

This story is a ‘who done it’ wrapped around some town and family history with some interesting secondary characters that will surprise everyone in how they came to be and are still up and about.  The story is short, light on angst, even with the mystery, it is done in such an unraveling and revealing way to not necessarily get the heart rate up.

It is an enjoyable ride and while you may go ‘huh’ a few times reading the details, you will not go wrong meeting Thane and Ian.

Overall Impression: It was good
