Blurb: Stores open at midnight. Look for sales, the season’s hottest toys, long lines, fighting and two friends revealing their love for one another on Black Friday
Chaddrick had been friends with Xathan for years. Now that they are in college rooming together he realizes he’s actually fallen for his best friend. After having a long talk over Thanksgiving with his sister, he finally works up the courage to admit his feelings to his best friend…at the toy store he works at on Black Friday.
Xathan has given every signal to Chaddrick that he’s willing to move their friendship into relationship. He doesn’t want to lose the bond they have, but knows that Chaddrick is the one meant for him. So when he sees Chaddrick come stumbling through the toy store doors at his job…he has no idea what to expect. Tired of not admitting his feelings, he wants to tell his friend the truth. Will he be able to confess to his friend he’s in love with him and if so, can he do it in a store full of shoppers?

Review:
On Thanksgiving, Chaddrick finally gets up the courage to tell his best friend and roommate that he loves him. Hoping to tell Xathan before he loses his nerve, he decides to head over to the toy store Xathan is working at to confess his love. Unfortunately, stores are getting ready for Black Friday and not only are there seriously crazy people determined to buy toys but Xathan proves too busy to talk to Chaddrick for long. Can Chaddrick wait until Xathan gets off work to tell him he wants something more or will he lose his nerve?
I’m totally addicted to this series already! I just love how short but sweet they are, like little books of heaven. The characters, while not having much depth, still made me smile. In this one, I loved that Chaddrick was so eager to tell Xathan of his feelings. He was just so adorable and wouldn’t leave the toy store until he could talk to Xathan. And I loved that Xathan was so worried about Chaddrick staying at the store all night. They’re just so cute together! I couldn’t help but have a goofy grin on when I finished the story.
I adored this little short but I wished it had been longer! I loved that both Chaddrick and Xathan have been friends for years and loved each other just as long but I wished we could have seen more of them together before and after they decide to move from friends to lovers.
In the end, this was a very cute, sweet story about a guy finally getting the guts to tell his best friend he loves him… and battles the Black Friday rush to tell confess his love. I loved that even though it was a short story, there was still enough to give an idea of how much Chaddrick and Xathan love each other. I wished it had been longer but I’m hoping to see more of these two in future stories, if possible. If you’re looking for something fast to read that’s cute, definitely give this one a try!
Overall Impression: I really liked it!
