Blurb:  Clint Beck has been best friends with Kyle Rivers for over ten years. They went to college together, and now they share a successful boutique landscaping business. Clint usually takes the lead, and Kyle tends to follow.

Kyle is naturally submissive and has suffered a lot of abuse from overly aggressive ex-boyfriends. Clint has always loved Kyle, and he longs for the day when he can move their friendship to something deeper. He knows he can be the caring Dom Kyle yearns for in order to become whole again.

One afternoon, Clint suggests they go to Ties That Bind, his favorite BDSM club. Kyle is usually reticent, but he agrees. Clint knows this is the chance he’s been waiting for. Once at the club, Clint uses all his skill to show Kyle how it can be with a Dom who can meet his partner’s every need in a safe, loving environment. Is Kyle ready to choose the one man who can give him exactly what he needs in every way?

Review: This was a really sweet story. Short, but sweet.

Kyle and Clint are best friends and business partners. Kyle is a submissive man who has been taken advantage of many times because of that. Clint is the more confident dominant who is in love with Kyle but has been biding his time until Kyle gains enough confidence for him to make his move. He handles Kyle with kid gloves gently steering Kyle in ways that will help Kyle heal. Eventually, Kyle gets up enough nerve to accompany Clint to the bdsm club. He is still apprehensive, but realizes he wants exactly what he sees Clint giving another sub, and Clint is able to make his move of taking things further.

While there are heavier aspects of BDSM going on and lightly described at the club, these guys are not really into those levels. Clint is more of a D/S player, more into control than actual heavy play. They talk about being able to partake of more intense scenes together, but we don’t see any of that. Clint was smexy in his dom mode, as much as Kyle was sweet in his submission.

These guys were really sweet together. I really would have liked to have seen this a bit more fleshed out so that we understood Kyle’s issues a bit more. And I really wanted to see more of Clint and Kyle together. What we did get was well written and nicely paced. It’s a quick read and a really nice palate cleanser. An afternoon delight, if you will. This was my first book by Ms. Walker, but I will definitely be checking out her other books.

Overall Impression: I liked it

*I received a copy of this book from the publisher in return for a fair and honest review.*
