Blurb:  Levi can remember the exact moment the projection of his life changed entirely, from homeless dropout to college graduate. It was the day he found Jamie Donovan standing on his front porch—the boy Levi had secretly drooled over from afar would become the best friend he secretly drooled over up close.

When Levi gets a full ride scholarship but Jamie doesn’t, Jamie becomes an exotic dancer to help pay his tuition. Watching Jamie perform is pure torture for Levi, and hiding how he really feels starts to take its toll. And when the hot new guy from his Econ class hits on him, Levi has to decide just how long he’s going to stay devoted to his straight best friend.

Review: Levi and Jamie have been best friends since the 9th grade, that’s also when Levi fell in love with Jamie. Jamie is straight – uberstriaght – and Levi is slowly losing his mind.

Now they are college roommates and the day-to-day interaction is making Levi seriously unnerved. Does he tell his BFF that he’s in love with him and move out? Or does he silently suffer?

When Jamie’s brother (Who we met in Imposter in Zebra-striped Briefs) comes out to his family, Levi and Jamie are both thrown for a loop and Levi confesses his love.

How Jamie handles this will decide both their futures.

I compare reading CC Dado’s books to eating at a fancy restaurant with a 5 star chef – it’s wonderful and delicious but the portions are too small to be filling so you have to go to McDonald’s afterwards to really feel full.

I wish that these stories were just a bit longer! It feels like the two MCs just figure things out and BAM the story’s over. I just feel a bit cheated. I read through the angst so I deserve a bit of happy!

The writing is excellent and the story is nice, but I wished it were longer.

Overall Impression: I liked it

*I received a copy of this book from the author/publisher in return for a fair and honest review.*
