Blurb: When the cover model who’s every man’s fantasy…

By most people standards, Ryker is considered odd. As the only child of a notorious conman, he understandably has a few trust issues. Most men are willing to overlook his parentage and strange personality since these days he’s better known as one of the hottest cover models around. Ryker knows his appearance pays the bills, but it’s also brought grief, stalkers, and one gorgeous cop into his life. There’s one tiny problem with his new-found obsession, Grady—other than being a part of organized law enforcement—he also happens to be straight.

Meets a cop who’s unlike any other man…

Grady knows exactly what he wants in life. He has the career he’s always dreamed of, and plays the field, catching every woman he sets his sights on. That is until he meets Ryker. Something about the more-damaged-than-not cover model brings out Grady’s protective side. Ryker also does something else to Grady. He makes him burn. The last thing Grady expected was to fall for another man, but no one makes him feel the way Ryker does. He can’t get enough. Unfortunately, he’s not the only one.

Their passion will blow everyone away.

When Ryker’s ex threatens their newfound love, Grady will stop at nothing to hang onto the man he never knew he wanted, and the bond he’d die to keep.

Review: I was a bit confused when I started this story because I felt like I missed a prologue, or a chapter somewhere. Our two heroes, Grady and Ryker, meet in book one, but that wasn’t enough character development for me to understand what I was walking into. That became more clear the more I read, but it would have been truly helpful to have had a little more foresight before they go at each other. I guess the insta love may have hurt my opinion a little bit – it didn’t work well for me, but considering it’s a novella, I understand the need for speed.

Ryker is a model with issues, including a wacko ex, and Grady is a cop who is struggling with his attraction for a guy. Or so I thought, until Henley comes into the picture. I really liked Henley, and as a matter of fact, I liked him better than Grady and Ryker, and I’m glad his story is next. But, Grady needed a little bit of a lesson in how to treat friends, and Ryker needed to get out of his head. I think this book just needed a little more back story and development.

I liked the first book, Collide, and was happy to see Lincoln and Shayne again, but this one was just okay for me. I am, however, looking forward to Henley’s book, Thrash.

Overall Impression: I liked it

*I received a copy of this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review.*
