Blurb: Creigh Delacroix is learning the way through his new BDSM world, under the careful tutelage of his boss and master, Gabriel Etienne. Creigh believes he’s grasped level one and is ready to move on to darker desires, but Gabriel is concerned his new slave isn’t ready to observe all Le Cachot has to offer.
Level two is more than Creigh could’ve expected — and he’ll be tested more than he originally anticipated.
Creigh will have to impress the Gate Keepers to move farther into the depths of Le Cachot. Within the Gatekeepers’ lair, Creigh lays witness to the depravity the members enjoy on a daily basis.
Welcome to Level Two of Le Cachot…
Review: The story continues with Creigh more intrigued than ever with what Gabriel has been showing him. He has now made it to Level Two, where things get a little more serious. On his first time through, Gabriel takes him to each station to gauge his interest, or lack thereof. While Gabriel seems most interested in the medical kink (which is on Level Three), Creigh is in awe of the foursome taking place.
Each level of La Cachot must be earned by impressing the Gatekeepers. In this episode, Creigh manages to impress the Gatekeepers and earns entrance to Level Six. But, these guys aren’t done exploring Level Two yet, and more trust must be earned for Creigh to feel comfortable with moving forward.
There is still the underlying issue of Creigh still believing he is straight and that he and Gabriel are only in this for the sex. He still refuses to acknowledge his “relationship” with Gabriel outside of La Cachot, which frustrates Gabriel. It is only when Martin (Gabriel’s sadistic brother and Creigh’s boss) sees them at the club that Creigh decides to take matters into his own hand and show his face. This is sure to have some major ramifications, and I can’t wait to jump into the next book to see where things go from here.
This is just as well written as the first. The BDSM gets a little heavier but never feels hokey or cheesey. I have the same niggle as with the first where Martin is concerned, but it seems there is a lot more to the story behind his actions, so we shall see if that holds true in the next installment. You most definitely need to read these in order, and you’ll want to have the next one handy when you’re done.
Overall Impression: I really liked it
