Blurb: Calvin Lynch and Troy Hoffman have been best mates since they were fourteen years old. They’re both hard-working tradesmen, both love weekends away fishing, both gay, but have never been single at the same time. Until now.

What is supposed to be a weekend away fishing with a group of mates, changes at the last minute when friends bail out in an attempt to give Cal and Troy some alone time.

With more than just hooks on the line, can these two see what’s been right in front of them the whole time?

The Perfect Catch is a short story about falling for your best friend hook, line, and sinker.

A very sweet, yet very masculine, friends-to-lovers short story. This is the kind of palate cleanser that I look for in between longer books. It doesn’t hurt that these guys are seriously tight and already best friends, and you just know that once they finally hook up it’s basically all over and the happy ever after is all but guaranteed. I think one of the reasons I loved this book, and friends to lovers in general, is because they already have a strong foundation, and getting on the same page and between the sheets is just a technicality.

Calvin and Troy were so completely adorable. The camping trip, the skating around each other, the tent, and then, when they finally get it right, it was such a sweet moment that I know I was grinning like a loon. Besides the main characters, I totally fell in love with their small group of friends. It’s no wonder they didn’t want to ruin that friendship, but life is about taking chances and these two rolled the dice and won the jackpot. Highly recommend.

Overall Impression: I really liked it

*I received a copy of this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review.*
