Blurb: Caleb Forester, a charming nurse with a trademarked smile, is having a fine time at life. He left a terrible situation and found himself in a much better one at Sierra View, and for that, he was constantly grateful. He would have been perfectly fine without any waves rocking his boat.

Everything was just… fine.

Red Miller is the actor everyone wants to see on the big screen. Aside from having an overflowing bank account, Red was rich in charisma and sex appeal. From the outside looking in, anyone would have thought the action star and billionaire heir lived a great life with his girlfriend and millions of adoring fans.

The tidal wave came the day Red and Caleb first met, wiping out both their boats and showing them there was much more to life and love than they let themselves believe.

Caleb must now reckon with his past while Red with his future. When outside forces from all sides start pushing in, they both must find the strength to stop from crumbling or end up breaking from the pressure.

Review: This was a really cute story about a sweet, adorable, and really funny nurse and an action movie star. The angst level was pretty low and romance was really high. It’s been awhile since I’ve read something so romantic, and it was a nice change of pace. What I think resonated with me the most was the way Caleb was able to cut up and make jokes about almost anything. He was pretty awesome. Red, our in the closet movie star stole my heart. I am always sad to read about hiding who you are so that you don’t lose fans…and I understand the idea behind beards, but I hate that hey are necessary.

In this case, Red is really successful and the sky’s the limit, but he wants more…and he wants it with Caleb. Caleb has been the secret in the past and so he wants more, too. Fortunately, they don’t take forever to get on the same page.

This is a fast-paced story and things happen quickly, but it worked and was an enjoyable read. The drama was minimal and the conflicts resolved without an overload of angst (Caleb does have an evil ex – but that was not exactly resolved enough for me). It was a good follow-up to book one and a nice weekend reader.

Overall Impression: I liked it!

*I received a copy of this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review.*
