Blurb: Attending his daughter’s holiday dance recital should be easy for pro hockey player Patrick Barnes. Showing up in a tutu, however, wasn’t exactly part of the plan. And yet the holidays get even more interesting when he bumps into Lee, the man he let get away years ago.
Ballet instructor Lee can’t believe who just walked into his studio. He also can’t believe how quickly the flare of attraction between he and Patrick resurfaces, despite the years that have gone by since they last spoke.
Once upon a time, they let opportunities get away. Is it possible they’ll now have the chance to pursue the spark that has come back to life after just one conversation?
Holidays are a time for giving, and neither Patrick nor Lee are about to take this particular gift for granted.
Review:
Patrick and Lee have known each other since they were teenagers but they’ve never been in the right moment to act on their attraction. But when Patrick shows up to his daughter’s recital and finds out Jordan’s teacher is none other than the man that got away, Patrick thinks the time might just be right. Will Lee feel the same when he finds out Patrick is unattached but still a pro-hockey player? Will they finally be able to make things work after so many years?
I absolutely loved this book! It was so cute and sweet and the chemistry between Lee and Patrick was unbelievable. I loved that Patrick had a fantasy of what their first date would be like and was determined to make that happen. I just adored both of them as characters and how at every time they met, they had something going on with someone else so they couldn’t actually act on their attraction.
My only issue is I wish it was longer! I would have liked to have a longer novel so there was more depth and more chance to see what happens after Christmas because I would really love to see how Lee and Patrick handle more of his sports schedule.
Overall Impression: I really liked it!
