Blurb: Ever since the first sexual encounter with Sebastian, Meik has felt off-kilter.

He can’t sleep, can’t eat, can’t work without thinking about the musician and so, Meik decides to settle into an arrangement with him. There is no love. There is no romance. Sebastian gets a warm place to sleep, and Meik gets to keep his boy toy.

The perfect bargain.

But when Sebastian’s presence triggers memories of his first and only love, Meik unravels under the reminiscences that carved him into the man he is today. Will Meik be able to hold himself together or will his carefully crafted badass image fall apart?

Review: This is one of those tricky stories where you don’t really like the characters much (due mainly to the lack of background) but you can’t stop turning pages at the same time. Obsessed 2 is a continuation of the previous story that ended on quite a cliffhanger. The same holds true for this one, but there is a bit more meat in this installment.

For instance, we get more insight into what’s behind Meik’s current behavior, something big that caused him to be the man he is today. He’s still not very likable at this point, but I’m holding out hope.

Then there is Sebastian, still mysterious, still on the streets and still taking advantage of Meik’s offers. I think I want to know more of his backstory than Meik’s at this point. I was really happy to see him show some backbone to Meik in this installment – he clearly gets off on Meik’s treatment, but isn’t willing to give completely without getting in return.

My biggest issue with this story at this point, and something I don’t remember being an issue in the first, is the use of alternative name descriptions. It was so frequent that it almost constantly took me out of the story. The musician, the blonde, the brunette, etc. If I could change anything about this story, this would be it, because it drove me a bit crazy.

Overall, I enjoyed this continuation and am just as intrigued as when I finished the first to jump into the next one. The authors are throwing out breadcrumbs among the dirty talking hot sex, and I’m following along like a lost birdie hoping to find my nest at the end of the trail. I just hope Meik and Sebastian continue to show us a little more of themselves along the way.

Overall Impression: I liked it!

*I received a copy of this book from the authors in return for a fair and honest review.*
