Blurb: It was supposed to be the perfect arrangement.

Easy sex in exchange for a cozy bed. Until Meik’s darkest secret scratches the surface, forcing him to cut Sebastian loose in a last-ditch attempt to regain his sanity.

But he’s not the only one with secrets.

All along, the enigmatic musician had something to hide. Will Meik manage to tear himself free or will his obsession and memories batter him into submission?

Review: This installment is much like the previous one in that it picks up where the prior one left off and ends with a whammy of a cliffhanger. And, just like book 2, this one gives even more insight into Meik’s background, although he is still not a very likable person. He is showing some promising signs though, and it is clear that Sebastian is breaking down the hard exterior of Meik’s little by little, despite Meik’s efforts to prevent that very thing from happening.

Sebastian still remains a bit of a mystery, although Meik’s digging into his background shines a little more light all of which is pretty much expected. It does cause Meik to feel betrayed which sends him in a tizzy to bring Sebastian back and make him pay. Seemingly unable to say no to Meik, whether by want or by need, he gives in and submits to continuing their “arrangement.”

Things are becoming a bit trickier for these two as feelings are starting to grow. They have much to overcome for anything truly meaningful to blossom, IMO, as Meik is set on Sebastian not being worthy. But, he is finding it harder and harder to hold him at arm’s length when Sebastian matches his every move and can handle and actually enjoys Meik’s animal side.

I’m happy to report that my biggest issue (the frequent use of alternative name descriptions, i.e. the musician, the blonde, the brunette, etc.) has been resolved or dialed back to an unnoticeable state. It definitely made this a much more enjoyable and smoother read for me and allowed me to just absorb the story without distraction.

This installment also kept me more engaged, with steamier moments and more dialog. I loved seeing some of Sebastian’s playful side and really hope this ends with Meik totally out of the control he is so obsessed with and that Sebastian continues to turn Meik’s world upside down. I can’t wait to jump into the next installment!

Overall Impression: I really liked it!

*I received a copy of this book from the authors in return for a fair and honest review.*
