Release Blitz: The Arrangement by Alex Jane + Giveaway!

The Arrangement by Alex Jane

1895. New York.

Gabriel Webster’s pack is in trouble. His father’s failing health and his mother’s untimely death mean that the vultures are circling. It won’t be long before his family’s assets are stripped and his pack disbanded. When an offer of help arrives in the form of a marriage of convenience, he has little choice but to accept.

The arrangement would be the perfect solution, if not for one thing. Gabriel is to marry Nathaniel Hayward, the Alpha who was badly injured in the accident that killed his brother ten years before—and the man Gabriel has been in love with for as long as he can remember.

Trapped in a business arrangement masquerading as a marriage — in a strange, empty house with a damaged husband who barely tolerates him — isn’t what Gabriel expected from life.

But sometimes the last thing we want is the beginning of something more.

And an ending can be the start of something beautiful.

Release Blitz: Gentleman Wolf by Joanna Chambers + Giveaway!

Gentleman Wolf by Joanna Chambers

An elegant werewolf in Edinburgh…

1788. When Lindsay Somerville, the most elegant werewolf in Paris, learns that the man who held him in abject captivity for decades is on his way to France, intent on recapturing him, he knows he must leave the Continent for his own safety. Lindsay cannot take the risk of being recaptured—he may have been free for a century but he can still feel the ghost of his old chains under his fine clothes.

… on a mission…

While he’s in Edinburgh, Lindsay has been tasked with acquiring the “Naismith Papers”, the writings of a long-dead witchfinder. It should be a straightforward mission—all Lindsay has to do is charm an elderly book collector, Hector Cruikshank. But Cruikshank may not be all he seems, and there are others who want the papers.

… meets his match.

As if that were not enough, while tracking down the Naismith Papers, Lindsay meets stubborn architect Drew Nicol. Although the attraction between them is intense, Nicol seems frustratingly determined to resist Lindsay’s advances. Somehow though, Lindsay can’t seem to accept Nicol’s rejection. Is he just moonstruck, or is Nicol bonded to him in ways he doesn’t yet understand?

Note: this is the first book of a duology – the story continues and will complete in the second book, Master Wolf.

Eighteen Moons by Andi Webb: Exclusive Excerpt & Giveaway!

Exclusive Excerpt from Eighteen Moons

by Andi Webb

Chapter One
The Patter of Tiny Paws

‘He’s adorable!’
‘He is. Perfect.’
We looked at one another and grinned as a small bundle of white fur crawled steadily towards us. We had both fallen instantly and totally in love. We were in the large garden of a house in West Sussex and the two of us were peering over the top of an old-fashioned pigsty on stilts. Inside were twelve perfect white puppies, just a couple of weeks old.
We’d asked the breeder, Mrs Bennett, how many boys there were.

‘Just the two,’ she’d said, pulling out one pup after another and turning them upside down. When she’d found the two males, she placed them at the opposite end of the pigsty. One began crawling straight back to his sisters while the other, steady and determined, headed towards us.

We’d found our boy.
We’d agreed on a name before we met him. Remus. And it suited him. ‘Come on Remus,’ I whispered, as he reached my outstretched hand and was rewarded with a gentle scratch behind his tiny ear.
‘By the time you collect him he’ll have his spots,’ Mrs B said.
Yes, our ‘first-born’ was a Dalmatian. Known for being a lively and intelligent breed. Also, as we were soon to discover, hyperactive and ferociously needy.

Tearing ourselves away we arranged to pick Remus up in six weeks’ time and set off on the two-hour drive home. I was beside myself with excitement, already planning my trip to buy a bed, blankets, toys and treats for the new addition to our family. John, at the wheel, was quiet, focussing on the road. But I knew he was as happy as I was. We’d waited a long time to make this commitment but now the time felt right and we both felt good about it.

Both in our mid-thirties, we’d been a couple for eight years. Buying our London flat after three years had been part of our decision to settle down together, although I think we both knew from the moment we met that we’d stay together. Creating a ‘nest’ for the two of us was the next step as we made the inevitable transition from being young men partying about town to a couple who preferred quiet dinners a deux or curling up on the sofa and watching a film.

That had been five years earlier. And not long after we put the finishing touches to our flat, we had begun to hanker for the patter of tiny feet or, in our case, paws. We’d put it off because we were both out all day; I was working in clothing design, with a small workshop of my own while John was an accountant. We both worked long hours and we didn’t want to leave a dog cooped up at home.

But as time passed, we began to feel seriously broody. This was only made worse when a friend gave us a Disney Dalmatian toy one Christmas. She did say it was probably as close to a real dog as we should get. And we did listen to her, for a bit, but in the end our longing for a real canine to cuddle won over all practical considerations. The flat just didn’t feel right without a dog.

Broken News by Sara Dobie Bauer: Exclusive Excerpt & Giveaway!

Exclusive Excerpt from Broken News

by Sara Dobie Bauer

“Why are we still talking?”

“I want you to enjoy the time we spend together,” Eric said.

“And I didn’t the first time?”

Eric held the crystal glass between his palms. “I don’t know. I suspect you’re a very good actor.”

Will chewed his lower lip, and God, the sight made Eric want to wrench his whore from the chair and kiss him until he passed out.

“We’ll be spending some time together in the coming weeks, and I’d prefer it if you didn’t fake anything. I deal with yes-men all day; it’s only fair I’d like my nights to be different.”

“Only fair,” Will repeated.

“If I do anything you don’t like, tell me. If you want to try something, let me know. You don’t seem to have trouble voicing your opinion.”

Will’s eyes appraised him, and Eric felt studied. There was intelligence behind that gaze, which made Eric question how Will ended up at Le Chateau. Maybe one day he would ask. But not yet.

“I’ve thought about you in the past few days. How it feels to fuck you, to crush your body under mine. I’ve heard your voice, begging for more.” Eric sighed. “Sometimes I can even feel your skin on my hands. But there’s no conjuring the way you taste, the way your mouth feels.” He shook his head. “There’s no imagining that.”

Eric noticed Will’s hand had curled into a claw on the armrest. Eric stood and crossed the small empty space between them. He latched onto Will’s wrist and pulled him to his feet. He ran his hand down the front of Will’s chest, over his abdomen, and finally cupped Will’s hard length in his palm, which made Will hiss.

“That’s what I was waiting for,” Eric whispered.

Will dropped the scotch glass on the carpet, where it tumbled and spilled. “Kiss me, you idiot.”

Eric smiled, wrapped his fingers through the hair on the back of Will’s neck, and brought their mouths together. Will responded with immediate tongue and pulled Eric’s face closer with both hands on his cheeks.

They tumbled onto the bed, still fully clothed. Eric registered the sound of Will’s shoes hitting the floor, but mostly, his mind clung to the desperate sighs and low growls of his partner. Will’s voice was an orchestra of ardor that, like the pied piper, beckoned Eric’s body near. He shoved at the suit coat on Will’s shoulders. He pulled at the fabric of his shirt, tugging the tails free of Will’s trousers. They would never make it to full nudity, not with the way they rutted against each other—the way Will’s head fell back on the bed as he thrust against Eric’s hand. But no need to stain their fine suits.

Behind The Stick Playlist

by K. Evan Coles and Brigham Vaughn

Hi! We’re K. Evan Coles and Brigham Vaughn and we’re grateful to be here today with the Blogger Girls to share our latest co-written release, Behind the Stick, The Speakeasy #3.

As music lovers, we often create playlists for our characters as we write. Behind the Stick’s main characters are city dwellers, and it’s easy to imagine them making their way around Manhattan and its boroughs, earbuds in place and tunes cranked. Mixologist and speakeasy owner Kyle McKee is at home on a nightclub dancefloor as well as behind the bar, while firefighter Luka Clarke, who is a lieutenant with the FDNY, inherited a love of music from his big, boisterous family. As they grow close, Kyle and Luka even discover a shared appreciation for swing, something that comes in handy while out one evening with Luka’s family.

Below are some songs from a Behind the Stick playlist. We hope you’ll enjoy them through the YouTube links we’ve provided, and that they entice you to get to know Kyle and Luka, and even love them as we do.

Heart Strain by Sammi Lee & Michele Notaro: Exclusive Excerpt & Giveaway!

Blogger_Exclusive Excerpt

Exclusive Excerpt from Heart Strain

by Sammi Lee & Michele Notaro

Jameson~

“Why are we here? It’s a great idea, but you’ve never mentioned it before,” Holden says as we cross the parking lot toward the front of the gym.

“I don’t know. Drix brought up the fact he wouldn’t be able to work out for a while, and I’m hoping to get back to work soon, so… I thought it would be a nice change of pace.”

Holds laughs. “It really is. We spend so much time sitting in the hospital my butt is starting to flatten.” I grunt in response and hold the door open for him, pretending I’m not glancing down at his beautifully rounded ass while he passes me. It still looks good to me. Shit!

We decide to do a bit of what we both like. I agree to run with him on the treadmill, and he spends time in the weight room with me. His skin glistening with sweat calls to me. I want to lick it off him, make him even sweatier. I’ve never thought about hitting the showers in the gym to do anything sexual—I’m a cop for god’s sake and this is a public place—but for the first time ever, as I watch him do squats, the desire to haul him into the locker room and see him squat down to wrap his lips around my length is all I can think about. If I thought not fantasizing about Holds was difficult before, it’s nothing compared to how hard—pun intended—it is watching his muscles ripple with exertion.

As we finally make our way back to the locker room, I fight the images my mind’s been conjuring during our workout so that I don’t embarrass myself while we change. “Jameson, is something wrong?” he asks, grabbing my bicep and pulling me to a stop.

His touch breaks my resolve; honestly, it breaks my brain. Without saying a word, I turn to him and cup his face in both hands and stare into those sapphire blue eyes. As his pupils dilate under my intensity, his breaths become short and raspy, making him the only thing I see or hear. When he breathes out, “Foxy,” I can’t control myself any longer and lean in to capture his lips in a long, sweet kiss. My tongue is hit with the taste of the sweat that’s been dripping onto his lips, as I enter his mouth, an explosion of Holds—the coffee he consumes all day, the mint from the gum he was chewing before we got here, and something uniquely him—hits my taste buds. I pull back and pull him to my chest. We’re both sweaty and gross, but he lays his head on me and snuggles in for a moment before going to change.

Neither of us brings up the kiss for the rest of the night, no more than we’ve brought up the hot as hell sex we shared. Holds still hasn’t told me he’s coming home, and I left the hospital for a while earlier so if the brothers talked about it, it was while I was gone. However, just knowing he’s staying, I have some decisions to make.
