Blurb: Knox has been at Moon Compound for over three years. His life forever changed when his mate was brought in, injured from the cruel captivity endured at the hands of hellhounds. Now, torn between protecting Whitley and letting him help his pack, Knox loses the battle with his wolf and turns feral.
When Whitley is summoned back to Moon Compound, he finds his beloved mate locked in a cell to protect both himself and others at the compound. Whitley knows what to do, but isn’t sure Knox will agree to the consequences.

Review:
Whitley found his mate, Knox, when he was brought to the Moon Compound to heal after being taken hostage by hellhounds. Now two months later, Whitley is all healed but back home with his decimated pack to help his mom after his dad was killed. Unfortunately, the separation between Knox and Whitley causes Knox’s wolf to turn feral. With the weight of pack responsibility and being with his mate on his shoulders, how will Whitley chose which is more important? Helping his pack or saving his mate from a life of insanity?
I absolutely adored these characters. We got to see more of a few previous couples like Sloan and Colin but I really loved Knox in previous books so it was great to finally have his book. He’s usually a strong, protective alpha, although with his separation from Whitley, his control starts to slacken and he becomes very aggressive, although still protective of omegas. I felt so bad for Whitley because he’s such a sweet guy but he’s in a horrible situation. Still emotionally damaged from his captivity, he’s trying his best to stay strong for his mom, pack and Knox.
My niggles are pretty much the same as with the previous books. I wished it had been longer so that we could have explored everything more. However, I did feel like this story had more depth to it than others but that also could have been because Knox and Whitley’s story was in the background of Full Moon Hellhound so we already know of their history together by the time this book started. Still, I felt like this one ended with a lot more unanswered questions than the previous books. We still don’t know what Dalton is although we know some of his abilities and now we have a mysterious Delta and a warrior Incubus in the picture that had me jonesing for the next book to find out more!
In the end, I really liked this one. The Moon Compound series is really coming together and as it progresses, more and more of the world unfolds and I like that we get a glimpse at who will be a future couple. If you’re looking for something quick, easy but intense enough to keep you interested, give this series a try but I warn you, to get the full enjoyment out of this series, read it from the beginning or else you’ll be confused on what’s going on.
Overall Impression: I really liked it!
*I received a copy of this book from the publisher in return for a fair and honest review.*
