Blurb: Two years after riding off into the sunset with ranch owner Rand Holloway, Stefan Joss has made a tentative peace with his new life, teaching at a community college. But the course of true love never does run smooth. Rand wants him home on the ranch; Stef wants an exit strategy in case Rand ever decides to throw him out. Finally, after recognizing how unfair he’s being, Stef makes a commitment, and Rand is over the moon.

When Stef gets the chance to prove his devotion, he doesn’t hesitate—despite the risk to his health—and Rand takes the opportunity to show everyone that sometimes life’s best surprises come after the sunset.

When I read Timing, I wanted a sequel ASAP. Unfortunately, when the sequel came out, some friends couldn’t help but leak some spoilers that really put me off and made me not want to read it. I finally had the courage to read the sequel and I must say, I’m glad I finally did.

This was a sweet story about how Stefan tries to help Rand keep some land in another town when Rand is unable to do it himself. I loved that Stefan and Rand were the same characters as I remembered. Stefan is still his usual self, not listening to anyone but still trying to save the day all by his lonesome. Rand is still the uber sexy, possessive and HOT cowboy who can’t get enough of Stefan. The two together are smoking and I’m so glad we got to see them after two years being together and they’re still going strong… in fact, they’re better than they were because Stefan has finally let ALL of his guards down and finally let his life settle around Rand and the ranch.

I think my only problem was that the scorned woman angle was just a little over the top for me. One moment Carly was fine and all nice to Stefan and the next she was spewing off hateful words and telling Stefan that Rand will throw him to the curb soon enough and come calling for her. Which is hilarious to me considering the fact that Carly barely knew Rand at all. One thing that kept bothering me, though, is the fact that it seemed like everyone at the rodeo grew up with Rand… but Rand lived, and grew up, in a totally different town (in the same house he still lives in now). So, I kept wondering how that was possible when these two places are hours away from each other (or so it seemed).

In the end, I’m glad I finally read this. It’s just as sweet, sexy and cute as I was expecting. The characters have grown as a couple but they haven’t changed as individuals and the fact that Stefan just wanted to get Rand his family back was very sweet. I REALLY hope we get another book in this series because now I have all kinds of things I want to see played out like seeing Tyler’s kids and the babies that Rand and Stefan will have!! MUST SEE THOSE!

Overall Impression: I really liked it

*I purchased my own, personal copy of this book for review.*
