TBG: So we recently found out that two of our beloved author friends have collaborated and written their first novel together.  We squeed a bit and then immediately begged and pleaded to get the opportunity for the cover reveal and exclusive excerpt.  So here it is…A Gay Romance by Gina A. Excerpt (might be NSFW):

Kory wanted to protest that he could walk himself out, but two things stopped him. One, he wanted alone time with Ram to try and turn on his charm and get Ram to release the tight control he obviously kept on himself. And two, he hadn’t been paying attention how he’d gotten here with all of the distractions along the way. Three, yeah three reasons now, someone was trying to kill him and he felt safer with Ram’s comforting growl ringing in his ears.

Kory just stood there, waiting for Ram’s impatience to get the best of him. He loved when the man put those big strong hands on him. Loved feeling protected and possessed. Most of the time he considered himself to be a very independent guy. He hated when people fawned all over him, even if it was flattering to his ego. The tables were turned with Officer Ram Rage though. He was the fawnee and the molten hot cop was the fawner.

Kory kept the little whoop of victory to himself when Rage placed a calloused hand on the back of his neck and began to guide him through the maze of desks, offices, and doors. At first, he thought he imagined it, but the sensation continued and he knew Ram was rubbing his thumb along the tendon that ran the length of his neck. His instincts took over and he tilted his head to the side, offering himself.

His back was slammed against the wall and his breath whooshed out of him. One of Ram’s hands circled his throat now and the other pinned his hip against the wall. Ram’s nose was mere inches from his own when he growled, “You think you can lead me around by my cock? I’m a cop, not a dog. We don’t go gaga for bones, especially ones that belong to murderers.”

Kory could hardly think. His pulse raced like he’d just walked a block in under ten minutes and all the blood in his body flew south like a Canadian goose fleeing an icy cold winter. He tried to tilt his hips forward, desperate for some contact. Ram shoved his thick thigh between Kory’s legs, stilling his movement but unwittingly giving Kory exactly what he wanted.

“Oh, God,” Kory moaned. “You’ve got to see that I didn’t kill anyone. Please, I need you. Someone’s after me, like, Michael Myers style.”

Ram dipped down and slowly slid back up Kory’s body. His hard stomach rubbed a path up Kory’s quivering abs and his pecs rubbed across Kory’s sensitive nipples. Just when Kory thought he would drown in a sea of lust Ram slid his nose from the base of Kory’s throat all the way to that sexy spot behind his ear, inhaling his scent. The rough sea became a killer tidal wave and Kory went under.

His arms moved, hands struggling to find purchase. Finally, he managed to grab a hold of Ram’s stick, his nightstick that is. He used the object to pull Ram’s hips tighter against his own as he wove his other hand into Ram’s short-cropped hair.

The kiss was incendiary, transcendent, and every other adjective ever used to describe such a moment in every story ever written times infinity. The world stopped turning, babies stopped crying, and bees no longer pollinated. Nothing existed but the two of them in that moment. Their tongues collided like the Titanic and an iceberg but nothing was sinking here. Kory rose to his toes, trying to get closer. Ram growled and pressed harder against him. The man’s tongue was like a heat-seeking missile and it blew Kory to pieces.

One kiss would never be enough. He could practically taste the alpha, feel it coursing through his veins, making him an addict. He lifted his legs and wrapped them around Ram’s waist so he could grind his ass down against Ram’s hard shaft despite the bulky gun belt he wore. Even the laws of physics were no match for their passion.

Kory’s angle was all kinds of wrong but in that heated moment he’d twist himself into a pretzel to get his hands on a dick so he worked his arm between their bodies and drifted his hand down Ram’s amazing body. Ram’s bulge was impressive, long and thick and hard as steel. Kory threw his head back and pulled out of the kiss for some much needed air. “So fucking hot,” he moaned, cupping his hand and slowly jacking it up and down. “Is that a gun in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?”

“Actually,” Ram’s voice was cool and collected, “that is a gun in my pocket.”

Kory’s movements stalled and he slowly uncoiled his fingers from around the barrel of the loaded gun. A hard dick really did feel like steel. It had been impossible for him to tell the difference. Thankfully, Ram’s words had cooled the flames of his desire. He had totally forgotten they were in the middle of the police station. He unhooked his leg from Ram’s solid waist and put it back on the ground. “Sorry about that.” He couldn’t look at the man when he spoke. “The adrenaline, you know, almost being murdered gets the blood pumping. Makes me horny like only almost dying can do.”

“Yeah,” Ram cleared his throat, “I knew that. It was a critical situation and I am trained to respond in such crises. It’s my duty.”

Gina A. Rogers is an amazon living in South Central Pennsylvania where she grew up and will never be allowed to forget she once sported a mullet. She has mild OCD issues with regards to symmetry and reading order and is obsessed with the letter V. She loves nerds and men who wield swords (pun intended), especially while wearing skirts of the tartan or even leather variety. Although she loves reading dark and tragic stories, the ones that play out in her head and find their way to paper are fun, snarky and always end happily ever after!

Kyle Adams started out dabbling with writing gay romance stories for fun. He writes what makes him laugh and hopes anyone who reads his work laughs with him. Kyle had three books nominated in the 2013 Goodreads.com M/M Romance Group readers choice awards and two books nominated in 2012 for the same event.
