Blurb: If it flies, drives, or fornicates, it’s cheaper to rent it.

After driving James Harcourt, his wealthy banker boss, around for a year and a half, Cal isn’t surprised by much anymore. Not even James’s regular trips to Market Garden, London’s most elite gay brothel.

But when James leaves the Garden alone one night and turns to Cal instead, Cal’s floored. After crushing on his boss for ages, it’s his wet dream come true . . . until the awkward morning after. Cal still has a job to do, but he wants to offer more. Yet James doesn’t take him up on it; he keeps Cal at arm’s length and continues his chauffeured jaunts to Market Garden.

As Cal learns what James needs from the rentboys, he tries to fill that need himself. But there’s more to James’s penchant for rentboys than Cal realizes, and it may be one role that Cal can’t fill without overstepping his duty.

blogger_bee_transReview:

In this segment, we find James (aka Red Tie) coming up empty handed at the Garden one night after not finding exactly what he was looking for. He ends up turning to his driver, Cal, as the two have kind of silently danced around attraction. Up to this point, the employer/employee relationship has kept them from taking action. Even after they take thing further one night, this issue remains strong. They continue walking a tightrope between what they allowed to happen and how to go about their daily lives working together.

Besides the employment issue is the fact that James was apparently getting something particular from the rentboys, and Cal aims to find out what it is. When he does, he then takes it upon himself to learn more in order to find out if he is capable of providing the same for James. He starts off with some research and major recon which leads him to the Market Garden.

Queue my favorite part of this book – Cal is put into contact with Market Garden ex-dom rentboy, Nick to help. I absolutely loved seeing Nick and Spencer again. Apparently, James was lucky enough to have experienced Nick in the past before he gave up the business, and Nick is more than happy to help with the chance at another go at James. So, with Nick’s tutoring, Cal learns more about being the dominant partner to James who was a difficult sub even for Nick. What ensues are some majorly hot and steamy scenes as Cal slowly learns what it takes to keep James under control and meeting his needs.

I had some trouble feeling or believing in Cal and James’ relationship. This was better by the end, but I didn’t quite feel as though we got to know their characters very deeply. I enjoyed their interactions, and the sex was fabulous, especially when they really got into the d/s scenes.

There is no question that this is a well-written, extremely enjoyable ride. As with all of these stories, no sooner am I finished with one that I am ready and excited for the next. They each have a slightly different flavor, but all are solid and smooth, sexy and entertaining. This series does not disappoint.

Overall Impression: I loved it
