Blurb: Jerricho never expected to fall in love with Rex, the sexy, construction foreman, but he did. Too bad tradition forbids Jerry from marrying for love. Prince of the clandestine Anzuni demon clan, a Baelso (bearer of children), and a virgin at twenty-four, tradition dictates that Jerry marry a man chosen for him. Despite his soul-deep love for Rex, Jerry has no choice but to follow through with his obligation as prince and marry someone he doesn’t love.

But Jerry isn’t prepared for his dominant, aggressive fiancé who is interested in marrying him only for the future title of king. Facing the reality that he will lose his virginity to the cold man, Jerry flees to Rex for one night of passion. When Jerry finds himself pregnant with Rex’s baby, however, the actions of his enraged fiancé release Jerry from his marriage obligation.

But just when Jerry believes he will marry for love, he and Rex are ripped away from life as they know it. Betrayals, kidnappings, cruel experiments, pregnant men, and the reappearance of the Anzuni’s greatest enemy force Jerry and Rex to fight for their lives, their love, and their unborn child…

Review: I am NOT a fan of dark, twisted, torturous MM romances so it was a complete shock to my delicate senses when this story took a detour down a perverted road I was so NOT expecting. And to actually enjoy the unexpected story line was confusing, but also highly enjoyable. Who knew I could run with the big boys and come out unscathed?

Prince Jerricho initially comes across as a spoiled rotten brat who didn’t appreciate the silver spoon he was born with in his mouth. However, he very quickly becomes a favorite character of mine and I felt for him and his dilemma. I can’t imagine having the kind of money that he was privileged to have access to, but it came with a heavy price…one I doubt I would be willing to pay.

Rex was simply fabulous…in every situation. I absolutely LOVED him. He was perfect in every way for me, and for Jerry. No matter how badly the circumstances became, he was a solid rock. A wall of strength and fortitude that gave Jerry the security that he so desperately needed in his life.

Together they faced some of the most horrific challenges any couple could face. During the most difficult of these challenges and confrontations, Rex proved that he was a man worthy of marrying the prince and being the ideal father to the future baby prince…their son. Seeing these two suffer over and over again, but watching the love not only remain, but grow stronger, made the horrific aspects of this story easier to handle.

The only part of the story that crushed me was Eli. He so deserved more than he got, and I sincerely hope that a future book is planned where he is given a chance for his happy ending, too.

Overall Impression: It was amazing

*I received a copy of this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review.*
