Blurb: When Chase Manning wakes up on the first morning of PrideFest, the last thing he expects to find is his lover and life partner, Rhys Sayer, on bended knee. But the news that marriage has been legalized in the state is a game changer for both of them.

After a mad dash to the courts, all they want is to find their friends at PrideFest to celebrate. However, what happens when they arrive will bond them together forever—if their friends don’t have a collective meltdown about their sudden disappearance first.

I don’t want to recap this story because for one it’s short enough that I’ll probably end up spoilering everything but also because I want the readers to see for themselves what the story is about. With that said, I also think readers should not read this until AFTER they’ve read Signs of Desire, even though it’s technically book 2.5 of the series. The reason I say this is because it takes place after events of Signs of Desire and some readers might not appreciate knowing how Signs of Desire ends before they actually read it.

As for the story, I really liked it because we got to see Chase and Rhys again. We get to see Rhys plan how he was going to propose to Chase and getting ready for the day gay marriage is legalized in their state. It was absolutely adorable and I fell in love with Rhys all over again because of it! While this was a super cute short story, I wished it had been a tad bit longer. I loved seeing Chase and Rhys again but the last third of the story was told instead of shows so I would have liked to experience the actual marriage/marriage license situations instead of just being told of them.

In the end, though, this was a nice little interlude. I absolutely loved getting back to these guys and seeing them finally tie the knot and so glad we got a little piece of that. If you’ve read, and liked, the Desires Entwined series, then you’ll definitely enjoy this one 🙂

Overall Impression: I really liked it!

*I received a copy of this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review.*
