Blurb: Getting accidentally locked out of his hotel room on Valentine’s Day night is embarrassing enough for teacher Martin Cooper, but the fact he’s stark naked makes it even worse. It doesn’t help that the one person he runs into is Rod, the gorgeous man he’d been checking out earlier in the hotel pool. But when Rod offers Martin a refuge, the night heats up. Now if only Martin could get the hang of this seduction business…
Review: Martin is helping his sister through a sad and lonely Valentine’s Day by going to the spa and getting drunk. She gives him some “advice” on dating – specifically about having a hot and heavy one night stand since he’s never had one. When Martin ends up drunk and in the hall of the spa/hotel naked with the hot man he’d been lusting after earlier, he uses her advice to “snag him”. Unfortunately, that advice entails making up a character to hide behind so he can be brave. Sadly, he can’t keep up the façade and must let dream-guy go the next morning.
Rod is an ex-professional athlete turned swim teacher who stumbles into Martin’s life not once but twice. Will he be willing to forget Martin’s dishonesty?
**
This is a super-easy, laid back, fun, and sexy read. It’s heavy on the sex, good with the feels and short on the angst.
The author manages to give us a fully developed story with fleshed out characters in a very short story.
Highly recommended for a quick read and a big smile.
(The cover really doesn’t do this story justice!)
Overall Impression: I loved it
