Young and savvy CEO, Trent Davis has a reputation for being in control—of everything. But when a case of mistaken identity puts him in a situation more pleasurable than he’s ever imagined, Trent knows he needs more.

Hungry for success as a new junior analyst, Charlie Reynolds is determined to prove himself at work. Winding up in his boss’ arms isn’t exactly his best career move—especially since the powerful CEO has no idea who he is.

Will Charlie admit the truth and destroy his future in the company or will “spanking the boss” be the beginning of something deeper?

Review:

I really enjoyed this book. It wasn’t the most perfect story, or even novella, but it was good and very enjoyable. I think I would have loved it if it had been longer. More pages would have allowed for the author to dive deeper into the characters, and I found the resolution to be a little too quick and easy. It’s also insta-love, but it’s a novella so I can excuse that. A lot of that story is one sex scene, and phew! That was hot. Hot and sexy. It spreads over several chapters and yet it never felt too long to me. I loved how it played out and being able to read both side of that scene. Because the author spread it over several chapters, it allowed her to show it from both characters perspective, which was nice since it’s control play. And spanking. Really hot spanking.

Speaking of characters, I enjoyed both, even if I have a sweet spot for Charlie. He’s a sweetheart and we can’t help but root for him. Ex criminal, he fought to get a career and to straighten his life. It was hard to believe he could have been a criminal because he’s so damn sweet, but again, it’s a novella. It would have been different if the book had been novel length and I didn’t get more explaining this character. Trent was endearing as well. Young, sexy (of course), I could easily understand his need for control as well as his need to let it go with someone he trusted from time to time.

In the end, don’t except too much from this book, but I found it entertaining. Hot sex, endearing characters, a nice and hopeful ending and fun side characters. It is a novella, keep that in mind, but it’s a good one.

Overall Impression: I liked it

*I received a copy of this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review.*
