Heidi Cullinan Week Recap + Poll Results!

Not only has our second Author Week come and gone but now the weekend has as well! And it’s been a busy one at that!

As February Author Week was dedicated to Heidi Cullinan, we had a few books we reviewed of hers not to mention a lovely post Heidi did for TBG and a giveaway of her re-released book, Double Blind. Here’s a quick breakdown for you if you missed them:

Double Blind reviewed by Nikyta
Let It Snow reviewed by Susan65
Love Lessons reviewed by Nikyta
A Private Gentleman reviewed by Heather C
The Wounds in the Walls reviewed by JustJen

Heidi acted as one of our Honorary Bloggers for a day and talked about Writing Las Vegas.

Also, for those who missed it, don’t forget that today is the last day to enter the giveaway for Double Blind. It’ll end at 11:59 pm EST TONIGHT so don’t forget to go to the giveaway post and comment with your email address to be put into the drawing.

Winner will be picked after the giveaway closes and announced tomorrow morning (Wednesday, February 26th, 2014).

Lastly, for the results of the poll! This one was to determine which book JustJen will be challenged to read for our March Challenge Week and the winner was… Billy’s Bones by Jamie Fessenden with 36% of the votes! Second place went to Freedom by Jay Kirkpatrick with 25%, To Bite a Bear by Amber Kell received 24% of the votes and Lucifer’s Lunatic by Destiny Blaine & Marc Alice received 15% of the votes. Sadly, JustJen really wanted Lucifer’s Lunatic to win. Oh wells, she’ll get to it eventually!

JustJen’s review for Billy’s Bones will go live sometime in the week of 3/16 so stick around and see what she thinks of it. And thanks to everyone who voted!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Mary Calmes Week Recap + Other Stuff

So, here we are at the end of another week… January went by so fast! It felt like just yesterday The Blogger Girls went live!

But now Mary Calmes Week is over 😦 We hope everyone enjoyed what we had to offer. Here’s a quick recap on our Mary Calmes Week.

We had a total of 8 of Mary Calmes’ books reviewed:

Acrobat reviewed by Laura from The Tipsy Bibliophile
After the Sunset reviewed by Nikyta
Again reviewed by Susan65
Change of Heart guest reviewed by Gyn
Heart of the Race reviewed by Nikyta
Mine reviewed by JustJen
Old Loyalty, New Love reviewed by Nikyta
Steamroller reviewed by Heather C

Mary also donated an eBook copy of Old Loyalty, New Love for a giveaway, so don’t forget to enter that before it closes tonight! Winner will be announced tomorrow.

And we definitely can’t forget about the Q&A with Mary Calmes where she let us know her plans for this year and other fun stuff! Also, Nikyta let loose on her obsession of Mary Calmes books (yes, we realize she’s a tad crazy) but we love her anyway.

Overall, it was a great week. We had fun and we hope you had fun, too! Let us know what you thought of our first Author Week, though. Was it boring, fun, weird, annoying? Tell us how you really feel!

P.S. We also had a poll for Susan65’s challenge book for February and the winner was…. The Fall by Kate Sherwood! The Fall had 37% of the votes whereas His Client had 29%, Gangster Country had 24% and Dynasty of Ghosts had 11%.  (Don’t ask us why that equals 101% either, that is just what the poll results said!)

Susan65’s review for The Fall should go live within a few weeks so stick around for it! Hope everyone has a great weekend!
