Blurb: Chef Wyatt Blake is finally ready to move on from his thankless job. He gets no wiggle room, zero praise, plenty of abuse, and on a good day, he might only spend twelve hours in the Terroir kitchens. A friend of his recommends a private chef position, but despite the boost in pay, Wyatt doesn’t want to babysit some spoiled, rich LA family.

Imagine his shock when the family isn’t a Kardashian clone, but Ryan Flores, the only professional baseball player to ever come out of the closet.

Ryan is also at a career crossroads. His team’s management wants to see his more responsible side, which means no more late night hookups and no more adrenaline-charged stunts. When his agent suggests he find a fake boyfriend to give him an air of domesticity, he’s only reluctantly interested.

Until Ryan goes to a local bar and spies the cute private chef he’s supposed to be interviewing the next day. Maybe a quieter life wouldn’t be so bad, as long as Wyatt is part of it?

Wyatt believes Ryan could be more than just a crappy boss, but he isn’t sure about leaving the kitchen for the life of a professional boyfriend. Especially when he wants the reality so much more than the fantasy.

Evan doesn’t even like sweets—until Miles seduces him with a rainbow of delectable confections he can’t resist.

He’s also not sure he can afford to turn it down.

Darius is a fish out of water in the small college town of Meriton, but something keeps pulling him back there. He’s helping out a friend with business advice, nothing more. The Weekend Bucket List by Mia Kerick: Exclusive Excerpt & Giveaway!

Blogger_Exclusive Excerpt

Exclusive Excerpt from The Weekend Bucket List

by Mia Kerick

We already know where we’re going when we get into Cooper’s old Honda Civic. Over the past week, we’ve invested serious time talking about our greatest fears. And these were intense discussions. At first, we admitted to stuff we already knew about each other, like how I’m freaked out at the idea of getting lice and how he hates having sticky fingers. I then reaffirmed that I’m not much of a spider fan, and he owned up to his severe discomfort with the movie Jaws, but soon the discussions shifted to things we’d never confided to each other. He now knows that I would rather endure a twenty-four-hour stomach flu than speak aloud in public, and I know Cooper would do about anything to avoid flying in an airplane over a large body of water, which I figure has a lot to do with his shark-phobia. These conversations enlightened me—especially when Cooper disclosed that he can’t go number two in a public restroom. Probably TMI, but I tucked it into my memory bank, nonetheless.

We eventually settled on something that would force us to deal with a fear we both need to outgrow and would pull us out of the comfort zones in which we’ve so far wasted all of our teen years. Conveniently, we can stare our mutual fear in the face at the traveling carnival that is set up in the movie theater parking lot a couple of towns south of Wellington. Continue reading

When a friend takes a leap off a bridge, Gavin tries to save him, only to fall in with him. At least at the bottom of the river he won’t feel like such a disappointment to his family. But he’s pulled from the water by a man with an iron grip, a sexy mouth, and a chip on his shoulder the size of the national deficit.

Jamie Donnigan likes his life the way it is—though he could have done without losing his father and giving up smoking. But at least he’s managed to avoid his own ball and chain as he’s watched all his friends pair off. When Montgomery fame turns a simple rescue into a media circus, Jamie decides if he’s being punished for his good deed, he might as well treat himself to a hot and sweaty good time.
