Blurb: Double trouble. The McMillan twins, Robin and Bobby, are renowned for their talents—both as fine artists and for thrilling the various men who catch their eyes. As different in style and personality as their DNA is identical, they’re nonetheless best friends who divide and conquer, with Robin doing the serious painting and Bobby adding the sunny salesmanship.

But when their most important client decides Bobby must wield the paintbrush, the brothers revert to childhood tactics and switch places. Social Media Central by Kevin Klehr: Exclusive Excerpt & Giveaway!

Blogger_Exclusive Excerpt

Exclusive Excerpt from Social Media Central

by Kevin Klehr

Snap! We hardly stepped outside Madeline’s door, and already a team of groupies were taking her picture. Then a guy took my image.

“So what are you?” he said.

“Huh?”

“Are you a blogger, a post jockey, a quick phrase, a filmmaker, a photographer, or a lover?”

“I bet he’s a lover,” said a grinning teenager.

“He can’t be,” said her friend. “Madeline Q doesn’t shop online. Isn’t that true, Ms. Q?”

“That’s true,” my celebrity one-night stand said. “I’m glad to see you’re a well-read woman.”

I clenched my lips tight.

“So, which are you?” asked an older gent near the back. He folded his arms, seemingly more to keep warm than to make a statement.

“He’s all of them and none of them.” She winked at me.

“Is he your boyfriend, Madeline Q?”

“Why? Are you jealous?”

“Never take love too lightly,” the older gent said. “In an age of electronic social desperation, he may be the only thing worth coming back to.”

I smiled to myself.

“Weirdo,” jibed one of the teenagers.

“Listen to this man,” I said. “You don’t want to masturbate in front of a screen all your life.”

“He’s right,” the man continued. “You know our population is shrinking. Shit, ten percent of the last generation died virgins.”

“Ew!” shrieked the teen. “I don’t want to get a disease.”

“Who told you that, you silly girl?”

“I read it online.”

“Now, now,” said Madi. “My front door is not a place for debate or name-calling.”

A murmur ran through the small crowd. The elder pulled out his mobile screen. The lens in his small device extended as he pointed it at me.

“What’s your name?”

Madi placed her arm around my shoulder and declared, “His name is Tayler.”

The others pronounced my name, took extra shots, and uploaded. Continue reading

Keeping Inferno together, though, means keeping his biggest secret. His bigoted bandmates would drop him in an instant if they found out Zac was gay.

Honorary Blogger Davidson King: Why Professional Cuddler + Giveaway!

Blogger_Exclusive Excerpt

Why Professional Cuddler

by Davidson King

In Hug It Out Teddy Harris is a professional cuddler. I always knew I was going to somehow write a book with a character who would have this occupation I just wasn’t sure where or when. About two years ago I was driving and there was a radio segment on unique and strange occupations. A man called in talking about his job as a professional cuddler and while it was a brief talk I was fascinated. I went home and began researching this job and why it would be appealing to others.

The more I researched the more I knew this was going to happen. I began picturing what type of person would do this, why, and who would be a challenge for them. I created Riordan from Teddy. He was the polar-opposite of Teddy. Riordan’s hands brought death, Teddy’s healing.

Reaching into the heart of an assassin would be a challenge for anyone but Riordan wanted to be saved and I think that is why Teddy was so perfect for him. There’s a scene by the poolside where Teddy explains to Riordan the medical side of human touch, it appeals to Riordan because he’s not a man of miracles he’s a man of facts.

Cuddling, human touch, it releases oxytocin, a chemical in our brains. Touch lowers blood pressure, stress, reduced social anxiety, relieves pain, and has proven to lessen PTSD. Pretty much all of these Riordan needs relief from.

I chose professional cuddling as an occupation for Teddy because it ids unique and I try to bring that to all my stories, but it was also eye opening. It was perfect for Riordan, and it made you see the parallels of these two characters. Touch is powerful.

Eyes Wide Open by V.M Sanford: Exclusive Excerpt & Giveaway!

Exclusive Excerpt from Eyes Wide Open

by V.M Sanford

He settled into the window seat and looked at the tarmac as Jason sat next to him. What was he supposed to say? Or better, what would he have said if he hadn’t been scared Jason would find out about his feelings?

It was ridiculous. Jason hadn’t noticed anything in all the years Spencer had loved him. It wouldn’t change because of an awkward moment, or Spencer hoped so anyway.

He turned to Jason, who was fidgeting in his seat. “What did you do these past few weeks? We barely saw each other.” Mostly because of Spencer.

Jason grinned. “I thought you were avoiding me.”

Ouch. That might be true, but Spencer wasn’t going to admit it. “I was just busy. You know, between work and the wedding stuff.”

“I get it. Only two weeks to go, huh?”

Dread turned Spencer’s stomach to lead. “Yeah.” He smiled, hoping it came across as real. “I would never have thought organizing a wedding would be so hard, and Lydia’s been doing most of it.”

“But you’ve been dealing with your mother.”

“True.” Spencer grimaced at the memory of their conversation the day before.

“I know that look. What did she do this time?”

“Nothing I wasn’t expecting, don’t worry. She wasn’t happy I was leaving for the weekend, and she tried to convince me to stay.”

“Ah, the good old I’ve-always-been-a-devoted-and-loving- mother-and-look-how-you’re-thanking-me guilt trip?”

“Exactly.”

“I don’t understand why you always give in.”

“I didn’t this time.” But he usually did. Hell, it had been his mother who had suggested he asked Lydia to marry him. They’d be dating for a while, and Spencer hadn’t wanted more, but her father had taken an interest in the vineyard, and his mother had seen how much she could gain. Spencer didn’t fool himself into thinking she’d pushed him so he’d be happy, yet he hadn’t been able to say no.

He was a weak, weak man.
