“Shit,” I curse under my breath. “Not to add to the situation, but I really have to pee.”

“Dammit, what are we going to do?” he asks, his eyes pleading as he starts to chew on his bottom lip. During our make-out session, one of my hands seems to have made it onto his chest, and I can feel his heart pounding now as panic starts to set in.

“Take a deep breath. We can figure a way out of this.”

“I can’t very well come stumbling out of the closet with my daughter’s music teacher. No matter how perfect that metaphor would be,” Everett points out sounding a bit frantic.

“Okay, calm down. Give me a second to think.” We don’t exactly have a lot of options here. I can still hear both muffled voices right outside the door.

“Of all the ways I could end up coming out to Val,” he mutters. “And, fuck, are you going to get in trouble for fooling around with a parent in the janitor’s closet?”

“Ev,” I say firmly but quietly. “Listen to me, this isn’t how you’re coming out to Val. And I’m not going to get in trouble, although of all the reasons I could lose a job, making out with a hot dad in the janitor’s closet would be my preferred way to go.”

“Sorry. If I have a meltdown, it’s not going to help anything,” he says.

“Exactly. Okay, here’s what we’re going to do.” I check over his appearance quickly to make sure he doesn’t look like he’s been in here getting ravaged. “You go out there, and I’ll stay here.”

“What?”

“Play dumb, act like you got turned around while looking for the bathroom, and then lead Val away from here so I can come out,” I explain.

“I got turned around looking for the bathroom and have been standing in the broom closet for ten minutes?” he hisses. “Am I supposed to pretend I took a piss in the mop bucket too?”

“Do you have a better idea?” I challenge.

He clenches his jaw and is quiet for several seconds before pressing his ear to the door to listen and cursing again.

“All right, fine. It’s going to be a miracle if Val buys this.”

“You’re gay?” he repeats.

“Mm-hmm,” I murmur, getting close enough that our noses are nearly touching. “What, do you need proof?”

“Proof?” he repeats, his eyes dropping to my mouth, his tongue darting out to wet his lips.

I grind my body against his, my erection hard and heavy between my legs, my balls already tight. I drag in a deep breath, filling my lungs with his scent— motor oil, sweat, and man.

I’m not sure who moves first but our mouths crash into each other in a rough, bruising kiss. A surprised grunt rumbles from me and I part my lips to drag my tongue against his mouth. He growls against my lips, biting as much as kissing, thrusting his tongue between my lips and putting his hands against my chest. I can’t tell for a second if he’s trying to push me away or keep me there, and I’m not sure he knows either. Then, his fingers curl around the fabric of my shirt and I take that as permission to keep going.

I meet his tongue with mine, hot and wet as we battle for dominance of the kiss. The sharp sting of his teeth against my tongue and lips makes my heart beat faster, my cock growing harder with every breath.

“You’re such an obnoxious prick,” he growls, his body vibrating and I can tell he’s fighting himself. He wants me and he hates it. Why is that so goddamn hot?

Caulky by K.M. Neuhold: Exclusive Excerpt!

“I’m coming!” I shout, racing down the hallway, half asleep, in nothing but my boxers. Probably not the way most people dress to greet their contractor, but in my defense, my alarm didn’t go off, and when I rolled out of bed, I actually forgot he was scheduled to stop by this morning.

I fling the door open, my apology dying on my lips as I take in all six-foot-something of the drool-worthy man standing on my front porch. A six-foot-something, drool-worthy man I totally hooked up with last month. The same drool-worthy man I kissed the night Henry dumped me. Totally don’t know his name, but every Thursday for the past month I’ve thought about heading back to Wooley’s for a repeat.

“Wooley’s on State Street,” I say, forgetting for a second that I’m standing in the open doorway in a pair of boxers that have hearts on them, my half-hard morning wood attempting to make an appearance through the little flap on the front.

I wish I could say this is the worst way a day has ever started for me but, unfortunately, this doesn’t even crack my top five worst mornings of the year so far, and it’s only March.

He coughs, but I can see he’s hiding a smile behind his hand, a clipboard in his other hand, his blue polo shirt bringing out the honey color in his brown eyes.

“Well, this is a little awkward,” he says, uncovering his mouth and reaching out to offer me his hand. “It’s Cole, by the way.”

“Names, right,” I laugh awkwardly, using one hand to shield the outline of my dick from his view and reaching out with the other to take his, which is painfully formal considering he had me bent over my couch screaming for his cock just a few weeks ago. “I’m Ren.”
