Blurb: — When life gives you blood, make mayhem. —

Grim. Assassin. Leather-clad sex god. Has the most unusual taste in men.
Misha. Mutilated. Afraid. Will never trust again.

Grim is a bloodthirsty killer, and he owns it. Gay in a world of outlaw bikers, he firmly stands his ground if anyone dares to cross him. He takes pleasure in showing homophobes their place and fucking his way through a life of carnage.

But there is a part of him always aching for something he cannot get. When by chance he saves the most perfect guy he’s ever met, he is not about to let him go. Even if it means he needs to smother his broken bird.

When a masked, bloodstained man rescues Misha from captivity, he doesn’t know if he should thank the menacing stranger or stab him and run. Grim is not the kind of man who takes no for an answer, and Misha might now be in more danger than when he was trapped as a sex slave.

Misha cannot deny though that Grim is as alluring as he is frightening, and once Misha realizes what power his body holds over Grim, he understands that taming the beast of a man could be within his reach.

But any possibility of a future together is like a house of cards when Zero, the sadistic crime lord who destroyed Misha’s life, sets out to get him back.

Will the ruthless biker assassin at Misha’s side be enough to conquer the monsters from his past?

Honorary Blogger K.A. Merikan: Jed & Ryder + Exclusive Excerpt!

Honorary_Blogger_Post

Jed & Ryder

by K.A. Merikan

We are proud to present our newest book, One Step Too Close. It is the #6 in our biker-themed series, Sex & Mayhem, and for the first time, both of the main characters will be actively involved in the outlaw lifestyle. Members of the same club, big, strong, and yet very lost in what they feel for one another. The fact that they had been raised as brothers, despite not being at all related, doesn’t make things any easier.

We came up with the two MCs while writing our previous release, Guns n’ Boys: Swamp Blood, where they fill in the roles of secondary characters. One Step Too Close, is going to be all about them. Jed and Ryder will have to face long-held secrets, fierce jealousy, a love that shouldn’t have happened, and a threat that could cost them both their lives. Loyalty to their motorcycle club will clash with a forbidden love affair. Jed’s daredevil, self-destructive attitude will clash with Ryder’s ambition, and controlling nature. They will both have to learn how to compromise instead of butting heads. Oh, but the compromises will be most delicious!

About One Step Too Close

27835814— One love. One motorcycle club. Two stepbrothers. —

Ryder. Controlling. Ambitious. Protective.

Jed. Self-destructive. Trapped. Lonely.

Their love? Forbidden. Taboo. All-consuming.

For Jed, the Coffin Nails Motorcycle Club is family. With them, he learned how to think, what to enjoy, and how to fight, but there is one thing he knows his friends can’t find about. They would never accept him as gay, and so his life is a constant struggle with desires that fill him with despair. Only there is a much darker secret lurking in Jed’s heart. His feelings for his stepbrother, Ryder, go far beyond brotherly. Trapped with a yearning that can never be fulfilled, Jed spirals out of control and unwillingly puts the love of his life in danger.

Ryder is climbing up the ranks. Recently promoted to sergeant-at-arms, he has it all: drive, respect, and the love of his biker family. When his stepbrother gets into trouble with the law, Ryder decides to take the blame and save him from a long sentence. Deep inside, he knows there is nothing he wouldn’t do for Jed, but through a desperate attempt to suppress his own hidden desires, he might irreversibly break the man he secretly loves.

But finding out what they feel for each other will test their loyalty to the Coffin Nails MC and change their lives irreversibly.

An Excerpt from One Step Too Close

His heart was beating like a drum as he neared the pale doorway, already choked by the heavy scent of perfume coming into the corridor. The visitation space was full of couples holding hands and looking into each other’s eyes over the table, and a few sad heart-shaped helium balloons wiggled in the air every time someone walked by.

As he looked for Jess’s dark curls, it was dark blond that he found instead. Jed got up with a squeak of the chair when he saw Ryder, and smiled widely, dimples prominent under his stubble, blue eyes bright and happy to see his brother. Maybe something important did come up last week? Jed would never just forget about him.

It suddenly hit Ryder just how enticing those eyes were. Being with Jed was like flying close to the sun without getting burned by it, but he found himself stalling on the way to their designated place when the reality of what he was seeing kicked in. Jed was fine. Finer than he’d ever seemed, with broad shoulders that Ryder no longer saw as just a token of masculine strength. He wanted to hold on to them and then slide his hands to Jed’s pecs, which seemed so appetizing under the tight white shirt.

Ryder blinked, bringing himself out of the stupor and walked over, pulling Jed into his arms, only to get buried under a scent reminiscent of sandalwood mixed with soap. Was it Jed’s shampoo that tugged on Ryder’s cock with such persistence? He didn’t know, but it wasn’t helping that when he wanted to pull away, Jed only hugged him tighter, pressing his hard body against Ryder’s and getting his ears hot.

“Miss you, man,” Jed whispered so close to Ryder’s ear that the hot air gave Ryder goosebumps.

About K.A. Merikan

K.A. Merikan is the pen name for Kat and Agnes Merikan, a team of writers, who are mistaken for sisters with surprising regularity. Kat’s the mean sergeant and survival specialist of the duo, never hesitating to kick Agnes’s ass when she’s slacking off. Her memory works like an easy-access catalogue, which allows her to keep up with both book details and social media. Also works as the emergency GPS. Agnes is the Merikan nitpicker, usually found busy with formatting and research. Her attention tends to be scattered, and despite pushing thirty, she needs to apply makeup to buy alcohol. Self-proclaimed queen of the roads.

They love the weird and wonderful, stepping out of the box, and bending stereotypes both in life and books. When you pick up a Merikan book, there’s one thing you can be sure of – it will be full of surprises.

Ghost finds out the hard way that people you meet online aren’t always who they seem to be. When he met ‘Zara’ five years ago, they became inseparable. She’s been with him through the rough and the smooth. He’s been there for her when her abusive boyfriend had her in tears.

She is The One, and despite all his friends considering him crazy, Ghost is about to propose.

Honorary Blogger K.A. Merikan: No Matter What + Excerpt & Giveaway!

NMW5b

We finished The Devil’s Ride with so many new book ideas. Some secondary characters simply have stories that need to be told, and it’s something almost impossible to plan. We knew we wanted to come up with a book about Ghost before we even finished TDR, but the idea for the story only came after we wrote the last few chapters. Ghost does mingle with bikers, he loves bikes, but he’s not a ruthless hardass like the others. He’s a good guy, who wants to do the right thing but keeps getting pulled into morally grey situations, because of his friendships and family connections. Even more so when he gets to fight for his and Luca’s love in No Matter What. Will he be able to stay true to what he believes in among all the mayhem?

An Excerpt from No Matter What

A photo came through. It was a red square plate of some vegetable rolls with a brown sauce. Ghost raised his head to have an even better look around. He frowned at the plate in front of the guy, and had a discreet look at him. He was close enough to see it was a very similar dish, but that could be a coincidence― Ghost’s heart stopped beating completely when an onyx bracelet slid lower down the guy’s forearm.

And then it hit him that the guy actually had a similar coloring to Zara in the picture: dark olive skin, wavy black hair that reached past his shoulders, and dark eyes. Only other than that, he was nothing like Zara. No softness in him, just firm jawlines and broad shoulders hidden in a coffee-colored shirt with rolled-up sleeves. As striking as he was, he was most definitely not the girl from the picture.

Ghost got up even though his legs were like made out of Jell-O. Five years. Five fucking years. This meant he’d had webcam sex with a guy. Many times. He couldn’t breathe, the ring in his pocket somehow burning like acid. How could he have been so stupid? He made his way toward the table as if it were a lucid dream. A nightmare he was about to wake up from.

With the young guy busy with his cell phone, one of the middle-aged businessmen noticed Ghost first. He straightened up and narrowed his eyes, tapping the chopsticks against his plate.

“Can we help you?” he asked in a heavily accented voice.

‘Zara’, or whatever his name was, raised his eyes, and the small smile he was sporting fell from his lips like slush on a sunny day. God, he was even prettier up close, with thick eyebrows and a straight, shapely nose. His mouth dropped open, but he made no sound as he stared at Ghost, wide-eyed.

Ghost ignored the older man, and looked straight into the eyes of someone whom he knew so well, yet didn’t know at all. “How could you do this to me?” was all he managed to choke out.
