Blurb:  “Win the love of the wolf with the hardest heart.”

Faced with eternal banishment to hell, Anubis, god of the underworld, has found a loophole in one of the oldest laws which will allow him to unleash his evil on an unsuspecting human world. Orion’s only hope to stop him is to accept his challenge: send a champion to win the love of the wolf with the hardest heart. It will take someone with a pure heart to soften a closed one, so faced with the threat of losing not only the werewolves, but the destruction of the human race, the gods can only do one thing — send Adam, one of their own.

Adam quickly realizes that the werewolf whose love he must win is Jed. Wounded after the loss of his wife and son, Jed promised he would never love again or be responsible for someone else’s happiness. Adam has been given a near impossible task.

Anubis is eager to see Adam fail, and unbeknown to everyone takes matters into his own hands to make sure of it. Everything happening now is part of his master plan, and finally it has come full circle.

Even if Adam succeeds and wins Jed’s heart, will that love survive when Jed discovers the whole thing was nothing more than a bet? Or when Adam does the one thing he mustn’t and falls in love himself, will he not only break Jed’s heart but completely destroy his own?

Blurb:  The Winter Circle is on the rise and the most desperate hour for humankind is at hand. Working from the shadows, the dark god Anubis, jealous enemy of the goddess Sirius, is setting years’ long plans in motion, a master scheme that will strike home in the heart of Jefferson Pack.

Nate is a survivor. He survived rejection by his father and his pack when he was a child. He survived being alone, kidnapped, starved, and tortured. But the more he recovers, the more he realizes he seems to be developing abilities that surpass those of the Supreme Alphas.

More than that, though, he can’t move past the scar of knowing he was responsible for killing Darric, even though the Alpha was resurrected by Orion and Nate was forgiven; he can’t let go of his fear that there is something terrible hiding in the many holes in the memories of his childhood.

The Winter Circle strikes, and there is a traitor within the pack, one who means to see the end of all hybrids, including Nate and Kellan’s pups. But as all hell breaks loose Nate’s greatest fear is not the danger that surrounds him, it’s the danger that hides within him. When Nate’s finds out his true purpose, and terrible secrets are revealed, will love triumph over evil? Or will the secret that Nate carries just be the death of them all?

Author Q&A with Victoria Sue + Giveaway!

How do you pick which story to write next? Is it the character that is yelling at you the loudest, the quiet one over in the corner with the devilish grin, or is it the storyline itself that is dragging you into it’s path?

I am lucky (or unlucky) enough to have four series on the go – so I’m trying to discipline myself and write in order. It NEVER works like that though! You have to go with whichever is giving you the most ideas. Continue reading

Author Q&A: Victoria Sue + Excerpt & Giveaway!

Interview Banner

Please welcome Victoria Sue author of The Promise. Tell us a little bit about what started you writing, and your current book.

Hi, I’ve always been a voracious reader – anything from romance to high fantasy – Lord of the Rings type stuff. I got bought a kindle for my birthday in 2013 and that introduced me to hundreds of books you don’t tend to find in your local store. I remember complaining bitterly to my husband about the ending of one book – it wasn’t a happy ever after! I seem to remember saying I could have done a better job myself (I was drinking red wine and should have known better.)

He got sick of me complaining and dared me to do it. If you asked him today, he would probably say it was a big mistake. After my last self-imposed deadline he said he’d forgotten what I looked like…or at least I think he would say it was a mistake.

The Promise is the fourth book in the Sirius Wolves series. This is the first book that features a human, a bilateral amputee combat veteran, as one of the main characters.

The Promise is ménage. M/M/M/M. What’s the hardest thing about writing ménage?

Eight legs, eight arms, and four dicks! The trick is so the reader knows where everyone is and what they’re doing, without it becoming either a biology or a geography lesson.

You’ve also got plenty of POV’s to choose from. Because the characters will continue into other books, I never choose all four POV’s for the first one. I like to be able to get into my characters heads and introduce more when the first or second is established.

What’s your next project?

I’m currently working on book five of the series – the Dilemma. I’m also writing my next historical mm love story – The Innocent Betrayal.

About The Promise

28487054The time of Anubis is at hand. Working together against him, the goddess Sirius and the god Orion have helped mankind prepare by uniting Blaze, Conner, Darric, and Aden to fight the evil in the world. But in the war to come, the werewolves will need more allies, and this will extend beyond werewolf kind.

Marcus, an ex-Marine who’d lost both his legs in a landmine accident, is now Human Liaison Officer for Blaze’s pack. Having lost his lover too when the man couldn’t bear to live with “a cripple”, Marcus never expected that he’d fall in love again, let alone with the werewolf Kellan who seemed to be universally hated by the pack.

The Winter Circle is moving, and a psychopathic pastor has abducted Nate, one of the wolves from Hunter’s pack. For once the wolves cannot rescue him — it has to be a human — and now Marcus must save the wolves from their biggest threat: one of their own.

If Marcus succeeds, he will bring in a new era in mankind’s battle against the power of evil, starting with a simple promise and ultimately mending four broken hearts.

An Excerpt from The Promise

Marcus inhaled appreciatively as he eventually made it to the top of the steps. He loved Aden’s pack house. The upstairs floor was Aden’s and his mates’ living quarters. He was incredibly lucky to be here, and one of the only humans who had been trusted to live with werewolves. Not just any werewolves, thought Marcus with a grin at his own joke. Blaze, Conner, and Darric were the Supreme Alpha triad who had been blessed by the goddess Sirius when they were born over seven hundred years ago. Marcus grinned to himself — didn’t that just roll off the tongue! It was one of those things that even when he’d seen it with his own eyes — first with his buddy in the army, and then here — it was still a truly fucking incredible thing. Werewolves. Thinking of every film in the movies, none of them came even close to how amazing it was, and how goddam lucky he was to be here.

It had only been because of his dad’s friend, Bud Mason, that he’d gotten this gig in the first place. Marcus was a newly washed up Marine with two bum legs. Career finished. Then Bud — Senator Mason — had called him. He knew Marcus was aware of werewolves. Marcus and his unit had been out on patrol, eyes on a swivel as always, but it had been quiet for days. Craig was scouting up front where he liked to be and a sniper had taken him out first.

Marcus had thought he was done for, until the most incredible thing Marcus had ever seen happened in front of his eyes. Craig shifted into a wolf as he lay on the ground.

Marcus had kept his cool, and even though the firefight grew up in earnest, and had pulled Craig to safety. Craig had later explained everything — how werewolves were known about by the government, but not in the main by the general public; that he had shifted because when injured it’s a natural thing for wolf shifters to heal themselves. Marcus had been enthralled. Unfortunately, Craig had been sent home by panicked generals who didn’t realize it wasn’t Craig’s training so much as his incredibly strong shifter sense of smell that was locating the landmines and keeping their asses safe.

The next day after Craig had gone, their Humvee rolled straight over one. Three Marines lost their lives and Marcus lost his legs. The left one above the knee and the right below.

A few of the wolves glanced up smiling as Marcus limped into the café area at the front of the pack house. Friendly guys, and girls. Lilly greeted him. “Morning, Alpha.”

Marcus had wanted to die of embarrassment when she’d first called him that. Apart from the obvious fact he was a human, he was pretty sure it was against some wolf protocol or something. In fact, Ricoh was standing with Aden one of the first times last year when Lilly had called him that, and he’d seen the shock on Ricoh’s face.

Aden though had explained Lilly meant it as a mark of respect as Marcus had ended up being one of their biggest supporters, and Blaze certainly didn’t mind. Marcus supposed if it didn’t offend their Supreme Alpha, he didn’t need to get all bent out of shape about it.

When she ran out of her kids’ adventure stories, she would go raid her mom’s. By the age of eight she was devouring classics like Little Women, and fell in love with love stories.

She’s still in love with them. Any size, any shape, any creature – love is love, no matter what it says on the box.

In fact if they don’t fit very neatly into any box she loves them even more!

She has a very patient husband and three wonderful children. In 2010 in search of adventure they all moved from the UK to the US and are happily settled in Florida. Finally, after reading love stories for so long, she decided to write her own.

Author Q&A: Victoria Sue + Excerpt & Giveaway!

Interview Banner

Today we’re thrilled to be interviewing Victoria Sue author of Eternal Circle. Hi Victoria, is there a certain type of scene  that’s harder for you to write than any others? Love? Action? Romance? Tragedy?

I think action to be honest. Probably because that’s my least favorite thing. I like watching action movies but I think I’d struggle to choreograph them.

What do you think makes a good story?

How long you got? Honestly I don’t think that can be answered. There’s a perfect reader for every story. The art lies in putting the two together.

Do you hear from readers much? What do they say?

That totally depends on where you hear them from. Facebook I get great feedback. I have a small group called Victoria’s Secrets for gossip and naked pictures. (I wish – unfortunately it’s not a secret group so they’re all clothed – mostly) Goodreads can be very… (not a good thing for a writer to be stuck for words, is it?)

How many books have you written? Which is your favorite?

I’ve written twelve, but have eight published at the moment. My favorites are a dead heat between Orion’s Circle and Pure – Innocence.

What do you like to do when you’re not writing?

Reading (a lot) I’m also a stunt double for Wonder Woman (the remake)

About Eternal Circle

26810125How can you repair something that should have been unbreakable? Darric, Blaze and Conner had been together for centuries, and their bond, like their love, should have been eternal. Blaze is trying not only to hold his family together, but stop himself falling apart.

The fragile relationship between the werewolves and the humans is at risk once more, and the goddess Sirius seems to have deserted them. Inexplicable changes are taking place to their little Omega, and while Aden’s powers are increasing, Conner seems to be losing his.

The terrorist group, The Winter Circle, is getting bolder and placing everyone in danger. Worse, there is a traitor among them, perhaps someone a lot closer than they want to admit. Just when Blaze thought the worst that could have happened is behind them, the traitor is revealed, and Blaze realizes that their circle is not only broken, but in danger of being irreparably torn apart.

An Excerpt from Eternal Circle

It was stunning. Even though his vision was black and grey, the world looked sharper, cleaner. Aden felt the soft touch of Darric’s wolf in his mind, and felt the love swirl around him. The other, bigger, black Alpha- marked wolf stood beside him, Blaze’s massive head swinging cautiously to one side, scenting for possible danger. Always on the lookout, always in full-on protective mode. Aden whined and lowered himself down. Blaze was making him rest. Memories clawed at him, hurt, and he tried to push them away. This. This was when Aden felt truly, irrevocably free. As a wolf he wasn’t small and scarred. Pathetic, abused, and beaten.

He felt a nudge against his side. Blaze’s wolf came and stood close, gently brushed his snout along the grey fur on Aden’s round belly protectively. No, that wasn’t fair. He was none of those things now, even as a human. Aden tucked his paws under him and panted. He knew Blaze was urging him to go home. They had agreed on the advice of the doctor that this was the last time he would shift before the baby was born. He’d known it was a risk, and not something the she-wolves did at all, but this was when he felt the most connection to his lover.

This was the one time Darric had never died. The time before that beautiful body had been laid finally to rest and gone to Sirius. He knew Darric would be with Sirius until it was finally time for Aden to join him, and it wasn’t as if he was in a rush to die, but these moments as a wolf were all he had left of his silver-haired, beautiful mate, and he wanted to hold on for just a few seconds longer.

Sometimes Aden wanted to disappear in his wolf and never come back.

A Snippet Into Blaze

by Victoria Sue

Blaze didn’t ask to be a werewolf. If he was going to ask to be anything it would be a god. Something useful. Werewolves still had to hunt, and it was impossible to catch fish. His claws were too sharp. And what? What if he got fleas? Blaze shuddered. Old Jacob had a mangy dog that snarled every time you walked past, and it was always scratching. It smelled. He bet it had hundreds of fleas. And werewolves were like dogs. Okay, well, really scary dogs, but still dogs.

Oh…What if he’d shifted and he suddenly needed to pee. Blaze gulped, or worse. What did werewolves do? Because they sure as hell didn’t stand next to their best friend and have contests about how far they could piss for, or who’s…mmm, well, no. He didn’t think werewolves did that either.

And they’d have to eat gross stuff. I mean, Blaze ate rabbit and he’d been shown how to skin it, but then Conner’s mom would cook it, and they certainly didn’t have to eat the nasty bits. He bet Jacob’s dog had those. Eww…

There was only one benefit that he could see. He didn’t think his mom and Annie’s father would still want him to mate her. I mean – they couldn’t kiss. His fangs would probably drop and he’d cut her. Then she’d go all girly on him and start crying. Blaze brightened. Conner wouldn’t cry. Maybe everyone would think it was suddenly a good idea to kiss a boy because boys were tougher.

Maybe this whole turning into a werewolf thing wasn’t that bad after all.
